Veterinary Care Group - Greenpoint

VCG has been taking care of my senior cat since I adopted him Oct 22’ back when Dr Wellington was at the practice. There was a change for a while but so happy Dr Schoen arrived. (There is another great Dr as well who we’ve seen a couple times for last min situations). She has been taking such great care of us as we manage all of his conditions. Which unfortunately is many. The techs & front desk are always friendly, helpful & quick to respond. (Kayla, Justin to name a few). Prescriptions have become automated & more cost effective for us etc. We’re quite the regulars these days & I’m really grateful to have this place in my neighborhood. Thank you!

Highly recommend VCG in Greenpoint! Our dog loves Dr. Schoen and her talented team who truly go above and beyond to keep our dog healthy and happy. They’re also super helpful answering my (many) questions.

This location is great. Both my cats received wonderful care from the entire team, the doctor is very knowledgeable and cares about the animals, not just checking boxes. Great suggestions for care as well, and both my cats tummies are doing much better. Having never really dealt with a vet, I’m glad to say my cats are healthy and now up to date with shots. They may not look very happy in the photos but they are happy campers!! Thank you VCG!!

I’ve had good experiences with the medical staff here—they’re knowledgeable and caring, and I appreciate the attention they give to my dog. However, the pricing has been frustrating. Exam fees seem to vary each visit with little transparency, and when I’ve brought this up, the response felt more like justification than cooperation. Unfortunately, the lack of consistency and openness around costs has led me to seek care elsewhere.

We always love visits with Dr. Schoen!! She's been caring for our dog for 11+ years. We're so grateful for her guidance and help. Henley is so comfortable with her, as are we!

I have been going here for over a year now. The place is very expensive but I found it convenient and the staff friendly. When my dog was attacked in daycare yesterday, and the people that care for him rushed him to my vet, they turned him away, with a bleeding, punctured ear, even though they claimed he needed sutures immediately, all because they said they had a fully booked day. To say I am outraged does not even cover it. Instead, my dog was brought to Bond in Williamsburg where they immediately attended to him with no question, even though he was a brand new patient. I’d rather have a vet who can handle urgent visits than deal with this place ever again.

I don’t think the vet is qualified! I was there expressing my concern about ear infection and he said my dog was fine and did not have ear infection. I got a second opinion and she does!
