I’ve been to many veterinary clinics since my cat Freya and I moved to New York City three and a half years ago, and this is by far the best one we’ve visited. The service is exceptional, and the entire team is incredibly kind, patient, and understanding. I felt truly heard and listened to by the doctor, who did not try to push any unnecessary tests or treatments (which, unfortunately, is rare in the city). Their pricing is also very fair and reasonable compared to many other clinics in the area. The doctor created a simple, comprehensive plan for Freya and helped put my fears at ease. Freya and I are so happy to call Greenpoint Veterinary Hospital our home vet. Merci to everyone there!

I want to express my deepest gratitude to Dr. Zelman for the compassion and care she showed during one of the hardest moments of my life. Saying goodbye to my dog Elvis was heartbreaking, but Dr. Zelman made the process as peaceful and dignified as possible. She took the time to explain every step with patience and kindness, never rushing me, and always making sure my dog Elvis felt safe and comfortable. The gentleness in her voice, the way they spoke to my dog Elvis, and the respect they showed us both will stay with me forever. Losing a pet is losing a family member, and Dr. Zelman understood that. Her empathy made an unbearable moment a little less painful. I’m so grateful for the tenderness and professionalism she provided. It meant more than words can say. My first experience at GVH was years ago with my cat, and it was great—super nice staff. Now I have three dogs, and we’ve already visited twice. I truly trust this place because they take excellent care of my dogs. The clinic is clean, cozy, and very welcoming. That’s all that matters to me.

I don’t even live in the neighborhood but this is the only vet I will go to! They are extremely kind and professional. They make sure you have everything you need to make an informed decision about the health of your furry friend 🙂 Walked out of the bathroom to hear multiple staff fawning over my kitty. Highly, highly recommend!

By far the best vet I’ve ever been to! Everyone who works there is incredibly friendly and helpful. Going to previous vet offices, my dog was beginning to get extremely anxious and nervous anytime he understood we were going to "the vet", but since we made the switch to Greenpoint Vet, he seems happy to be there. They really work hard to make sure it’s not a traumatizing experience for my dog and I’m so appreciative to not have to feel like I’m dragging him in. Plus they’re very thorough with explaining what’s going on and any solutions to address my pet’s problems.

These vets are the best. We started coming here towards the end of our French bulldog’s life, but they definitely saved him more than once and provided medication and guidance on specialists to improve the quality of his remaining days as well. When he passed away (peacefully at home), we had him cremated with them and they provided us with the cutest little paw print keepsake. I saw our vet (Dr. V) on the streets weeks after his passing and she recognized me right away and hugged me for what seemed like forever while I sobbed over our loss. Dr. V and the entire team at Greenpoint Vets are top notch. I Can’t recommend them more.

Great for unnecessary visits, refusing to fill medication, and overpricing their services. They refused to fill our dog’s medication even though they’ve been treating her for years. They attempted to corner us into going in - saying we had to schedule a visit or they wouldn’t refill her prescription, which wasn’t required and lacks integrity on their part. If your pet is sick, they’ll gladly say they’re booked for weeks without a reasonable alternative. I’d recommend Williamsburg Vet if you’re looking for an establishment that is honest, friendly, and cares about your pet and your pocket. We called shortly after and Williamsburg Vet put us on hold and came back with two alternative options for us and organized everything making sure we were very well taken care of. Does this sweet lady look happy here? I think not.
