Dr. Stacy Leiman and her entire staff are truly incredible. From the moment you walk in, you are met with kindness, compassion, and genuine care. Dr. Leiman has always been extremely transparent and honest with me, taking the time to explain all options and what is truly best for my dog and cat. She even takes the time to personally follow up and contact me to ensure my pets are doing okay, which truly means so much during stressful times. The front desk staff are so friendly, welcoming, and always willing to answer any questions with patience and warmth. The vet techs are absolutely amazing—so sweet, gentle, and attentive to my little fur babies, making them feel safe and comfortable during every visit. I am beyond grateful for the level of care and empathy shown to both my pets and me. I would 100% recommend this clinic to anyone looking for a veterinary team that truly goes above and beyond.

I have been taking my dogs to NS Vet for over 20 years. This is dog #3. Although I live in Manhattan and they r located in Brooklyn they r worth "the ride". Everyone is very nice… I know my dogs r in good hands. Dr. Dan Leiman has been my primary vet. Very knowledgeable, compassionate and honest.

I have been taking my rescue to Northside Vet since we got him almost 10 years ago. Dr. Daniel Leiman, in particular, is the most amazing human and has such a patient and gentle manner that even our super anxious Jack-Chi does okay. He never rushes and you can tell how much he genuinely loves animals. His wife and daughter are vets here too, and they are both equally phenomenal. And so is the rest of the team. I won’t go anywhere else. Grateful for them.

We started bringing our dog, Fitz, back here after the pandemic ended and I cannot say enough about what an amazing experience it has been. Fitz is pretty skittish about the vet after a couple of bad experiences at our prior vet. Dr. Stacey Leiman has truly been an amazing vet who shows her compassion with animals in every interaction we have with her. She is beyond patient with our dog, and always takes the time to carefully explain any diagnosis or treatment. The change in demeanor that we've seen with Fitz at the vet over the last year, has been incredible and is entirely because of the continuous positive interactions he has had with Dr. Leiman. She has gone so far as to take time out of her vacation schedule to followup with us on non-urgent requests because she cares *that* much. Truly, I cannot recommend Northside enough.

Top notch veterinary care (Dr. Leiman and Team)! I've been bringing my dog and my cat here for years now, and each visit I'm reminded how lucky we are to have found these folks. This isn't just a veterinary clinic; it's a dedicated sanctuary where the well-being of the animals truly comes first. From the moment you step into the waiting room, you feel welcome. The staff -- from the front desk to the vet techs -- are incredibly organized, warm, and efficient. And Dr. Leiman is simply phenomenal. He is so thorough, thoughtful, and knowledgeable. A few examples: Dr. Leiman does such a thorough full body exam that he even smelled my dogs feet and ears to check for signs of yeast -- this makes total sense but honestly I've never had another vet do this before; also, he immediately noticed that my dog needs a lot of mental stimulation alongside physical exercise and gave us some great recommendations. She is truly a happier dog with these efforts. It's clear beyond knowing anatomy, physiology, pathophysiology (all the medicine stuff) that he deeply understands animal behavior and is concerned not only with their physical health, but with their overall well-being and quality of life. My husband and I joke that we wish we could find ourselves PCPs like this! Forever grateful to Dr. Leiman and his team. All the stars!

Northside has been our vet for over a decade and has done a great job taking care of our mini dachshund. Every Dr. there is friendly, incredibly knowledgeable, and has helped keep our little guy healthy into his 17th year so far. They review all options with you and balance smart treatments with your situation. They not only cover "traditional western" treatments, but they also offer treatments like acupuncture, craniosacral therapy, nutritional guidance and supplementation, among others, all of which have had a noticeable positive outcome on our dog. I haven't been to many other places to have a baseline comparison, but they do seem to be a bit on the more expensive side. However, if you're looking for the best care for your pet, they are the place to go.

Dr Ramos is always so personable and knowledgeable. She listens to your concerns and questions and is thorough in her communication. She has incredible compassion for the pets she sees and treats them with such care. The staff at Northside were all very friendly and helpful as well.
