Vinegar Hill Veterinary Group- Dumbo

I have been going to Vinegar Hill Vet Group in Brooklyn heights for 15 years and they are like family. They love my dogs as if they are their own. Dr. Neuman has provided so much medical and emotional support over the year. She is incredibly knowledgeable, presents information in a digestible way, and provides all options available for treatment, taking into consideration both cost and my dogs’ quality of life. There are many vet practices in the area but I have continued to go to Vinegar Hill even if I have moved farther away because of how deeply I trust them. Her and the staff go out of their way and above and beyond to support both my dogs and I. Fani, the receptionist treats my dogs as if they are her own. The staff at the Brooklyn Heights location light up when they see my dogs and I can tell how much they love their jobs and getting to make these connections. I recently had to put one of my dogs to sleep and I couldn’t have gotten through it without them. I chose to do it in my home with Dr. Neuman. She had spent so much time treating my dog that she knew it was difficult to get an iv in her and made sure to come with the vet tech that is the best of everyone in the group at finding a vein. She and Chris made sure I could make this transition at home, which was so important to me. I cannot recommend these vets enough.

I had such a great experience at this vet office! Everyone—from the front desk to the vet—was so kind, patient, and understanding with my dog, who has anxiety. They took their time to make her feel safe and comfortable, and I never felt rushed. The vet was very attentive and explained everything clearly. You can really tell they care about both the pets and their owners. I’m so grateful to have found such a compassionate and professional team! Highly recommend! 🐶💛

The Vinegar Hill Brooklyn Heights office is located in a charming historic neighborhood on a quiet street. The place itself is warm and comforting and the staff is super friendly. Dr. Sara Neuman had been recommended to me as a qualified avian vet. Avian vets are hard to find in NYC and I did not wish to take my parakeet to a busy animal hospital. Taking a delicate bird to the vet is stressful enough. I am delighted to report that my baby was in the best of hands. Dr Neuman treated him for a bacterial infection and he recovered 100% better than ever. I have since brought him back for minor concerns, never hesitating to see Dr. Neuman because she of her expertise, compassion, and kindness. Thank God for Dr. Neuman and Vinegar Hill!

Absolutely love this vet office! My little dog is super playful and full of energy, and the team here treated him like a star. 💕 From the moment we walked in, the front desk was so friendly, and the vet was gentle, patient, and so sweet with him. They gave him lots of love, treats, and attention — he was happy the entire visit! 🐶 Everyone went above and beyond, and it really shows how much they care. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a caring and fun-loving vet team!

It's tough to put into words how awesome this place is, but let me just say I've been to quite a few vets around Brooklyn and Manhattan, and Vinegar Hill vet group is fab! I use the Brooklyn Heights location most of the time, and everyone is super friendly as well as extremely knowledgeable. The front desk staff is amazing especially Fani (I think I'm spelling that right!). They're all very patient with my Shep as well as my two cats, and when the euthanasia time came for my previous Shep..... well, let's just say they made a horrible time in my life bearable. I cannot recommend them enough, I love Dr Newman best but they are all praise worthy, and I trust all the techs even with nail trims on my one cat from hell haha. If you are looking for a new vet, I promise you you will not be disappointed. I'm very very picky but even I can't complain at all coming here!

Took my cat Lola 17 that passed for cremation to Vinegar Hill Vet and they were very kind. They are now my go to for Marley. They have been responsive and friendly every time we visit. They have been able to fit Marley in same day appt when he wasn’t feeling well. Thank you all on staff!

The absolute worst vet office I’ve ever been to. Payed almost $200 on 2/3/26 for a "doctor " to come in the room and look at my ferret for 6mins , didn’t tell me anything in regards to her breathing how her heart sounds or if she had and vaginal swelling after knowing she came in because she’s having difficulty walking and controlling her urine , but the " doctor " said I’m going to step out and make an estimate for you . Sends the assistant back in to give me a over $400 recommended xray and see a specialist I told them I currently didn’t have enough for the xray is there something we could do , they said " no , best " I had to GO BACK the day after she was seen to pick up antibiotics for her THAT I REQUESTED. When i asked about euthanasia because I didn’t want her to be suffering or in pain they showed me a estimate for over $600 or over $700 if i wanted her ashes back. 2 days later i took her to the ACC to have her euthanized where they did it for free but then put me in contact with a private cremation company so i can get her ashes back for $300. Vinegar Hill Vet only cares about money they do not care if you’re a few $ short they would tell you " best of luck " DO NOT GO HERE unless you have endless money or you’re ready to watch your loved one go down hill
