The Gear Junction

This is an awesome local store selling high-quality new and used outdoor gear for all the outdoor hobbies you can imagine in Western Colorado. I can reliably stop in and find amazing tips on new gear, and reliable, high-end used gear for a fraction of the price I could get it from a big-box retailer. Cole, Jacob, and the staff are all incredibly knowledgeable, not only about the gear they sell, but about all the places around Grand Junction to find an adventure.

Super helpful and friendly staff. The bike shop for me. Ian is an expert and got me back on the trail. They have a variety of gently used bikes for sale along with bike accessories. Cool spot with alot of gently used camping/hiking gear as well. Just a really relaxed chill spot with expert staff.

By far our favorite store, the staff is super knowledgeable and helpful. Great environment, highly recommend. Ian is very helpful and knows so much about bikes and skis.

Cole was absolutely amazing!! He and I chatted before about rafts and I told him I would be back with my boat and get a bunch of stuff to get on the water!! I mentioned being a total rookie and that I had no idea what I was doing setting up and rigging a boat!! He remembered me and took time out of his day to get me all the gear I needed, helped me inflate my boat, we rigged the whole thing together!! He thought me best practices and gave advice!! It’s been over a year now and I’ve made memories on the river I’ll cherish for a life time!! Cole is a true outdoorsman who just wants people to enjoy life and use what they have to go on adventures and if you’re missing something you should buy it from him and his crew!! Thank You so much!! I’ve always had a great time at the gear and found really reasonably priced high quality outdoor goods, looking forward to the next time I go!

Passing through on my way back to Utah, I wanted to ride Fruita one last time for the season. I needed a new back wheel since mine cracked. I got into the shop around 6:15 and found a wheel set that would work for a solid price. Ian was able to swap my tires, valve stems, cassette, installed front and rear rotors, and have me on my way in 45 minutes. Buddy killed it.

This is the best place to get your gently used gear and bike maintenance done. They're always so helpful and nice when we come in! Highly recommend for all your adventure needs
