First thing I would like to say about this establishment is that the staff Are hands-down some of the best! I had the pleasure of working with Nikki and she shaped my hat and exactly what I was looking for. (West Texas punch crown and a brim with a little bit of attitude) She even reshaped the hat I wore into the store and made it look brand new. The staff here are an absolute wealth of knowledge. " Derby" is as cowboy as cowboys can get. Extremely hospitable and has some of the best stories you’ll ever hear in your life. If you’re looking for a quality hat shop look no further, seriously! If you can name a better store to get a custom hat at the price they’re selling them for, I’ll go visit it myself. This is arguably the best Western store in the Rockies. Go see for yourself!

Sure, there's boots. Lots of boots. any boot you want.. BUT THE HATS! WOOOOW! If you are looking for a hat, and are anywhere even remotely close to Grand Junction. GO IN HERE. Mr. Derby spent a great deal of time perfectly customizing a hat for me while I watched. Mr. Derby, Thank you IMMENSELY for the time and patience you took to help me find the perfect hat for my friend. You Sir, are a scholar and a gentleman.

I got this cowboy hat as a gift and just never felt good wearing it so I brought it in and it’s like a new hat all over again. Nikki made my day, she helped me reshape, stitched the ribbon, patched a weak spot and made me and my girlfriend feel like a million bucks!

We got a couple of hats and had them shaped today by the best hat guy in the USA. Left as friends and some of the best stories. So if you want to get a hat from the Hat Guy this is where you go, he's the best. Great customer service from the young lady that helps him.

Highly recommend! Being from South Georgia, it’s safe to say I don’t know a darn thing about western hats. Well, Mr. Jerry changed that for me. He gave me a crash course and helped me pick out a great souvenir. He custom shaped my hat and added a cool feather.

Just a great experience. Went for my first cowboy hat and didn’t have any idea what I wanted. The lady helped me pick up the hat, the band and customize everything for me. Everything was so great that my husband was like "hey I also want a cowboy hat". We got a 20x and a 7x beaver fur on black color. They have a satin liner and leather headband. My initials on gold and my hat came in a big box. Just beautiful and good quality hats. 100% recommended. For sure coming back for my boots and belt.
