Rio Rancho Verde

Rio Rancho Verde was an amazing experience in so many ways. We stayed in the bedrooms two nights, were very comfortable and slept well. The patio kitchen facilities provided all we needed for meals. Views of the desert, surrounding mountains, and stars in the night sky from the backyard were surreal. Morning walks extended our experience into the desert. Adding to all of this were many artworks and the approach to blend in with the desert as well as reuse and recycle where possible. Big thanks to the hosts.

We have traveled extensively in the US and this was by far one of our top stays. My husband, who rarely comments, kept saying that this was a 5 star stay! The property exceeded every expectation and views were unmatched. I couldn’t wait to get up in the mornings just to view the gorgeous sunrises. The hosts welcomed you and immediately treated you like family. You have as much privacy or interaction as you choose. The area is beyond words. If you like to hike, golf, bike, or ride horses, this is the place to be. Plus, you are just a few minutes from town and great eating. Sedona is just a few hours away as well. I can’t say enough about our stay at Rio Rancho Verde... except we can’t wait to go back!

Rio Rancho Verde is the most beautiful, peaceful, relaxing place I could imagine. Yes, it's clean, it has all the amenities it claims on the VRBO listing, Carmela is an amazing hostess. I've stayed in luxury hotel suites that can't hold a candle to the space we occupied. It's the full package. But for me it was the peace I felt while I was there. The beauty of the desert surrounding Carmela's home that I enjoyed by myself every morning and every evening. Visiting with the horses, walks around the beautifully landscaped property, wandering through the eco-garden. The Sun God next to the pool surrounded by fragrant flowers. It's a magical place. Thank you, Carmela, for opening your home to us. I can't wait to get back!

My experience at Rio Rancho Verde was nothing short of amazing. Riding in their well maintained arena on my horse was an absolute dream. The ranch's warm hospitality a.k.a(Joe, Carmela and their dog Gracie) and breathtaking views made the entire experience unforgettable, leaving me and my horse eager to return. Stunning! Absolutely beautiful place to stay, would recommend Rio Rancho Verde to anyone. Hosts were wonderful. Wish we could have stayed longer. First place I’ll look at staying next time we are in the area.

This is second time my wife and I have stayed with Carmela and Joe, both times in the Bunkhouse. It is just the kind of place we love. Clean, comfortable and cozy. We also love cooking our own meals either in the kitchen or on the patio grill while watching the sun set over the mountains. Coffee on the patio watching the sun rise was spectacular a couple mornings. We spent our days hiking in the desert and there are miles and miles to hike. Carmela and Joe are friendly and helpful. We look forward to spending time with them again!
