Wild West Horse Adventures

We had the best time on our ride with Shelby. She and her horses made for the best experience. My wife and I are not experienced riders, and she made the whole process so fun and easy. Shelby is so passionate about her business and her horses. Wild West Horse Adventures far surpassed our expectations!

Beautiful ride with great scenic views of granite mountain! Fiona was a great guide and the whole experience was amazing! I proposed to my fiancée on the ride and she said yes!!! Highly recommend this trail ride for beginner and experienced riders! Fiona took plenty of pictures for our memories and I didn’t even ask! Great outfit with experience and friendly guides! We loved it ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

My mom and I did a mother-daughter 3 hour ride with Fiona this morning and had an amazing time! Their horses are beautiful and very well-trained. Never had calmer and more responsive horses. The preserve you walk through is beautiful, and Fiona knows a lot about the cacti and rock structures which is cool to learn about! Overall, we could not recommend Wild West Horses more! We had a great time, great conversation, and felt super safe and comfortable. The only thing to note is that the terrain is a little rugged so on the 3-hour trail you can only walk, no trotting or cantering. We did not know this before but still had a great time as it was beautiful, but is good to know if that is what you’re looking for. Thanks Fiona 🙂

Our wonderful guide Fiona lead us on a beautiful horsey sunset hike through Granite Mountain. She was incredibly sweet and informative. I haven’t been on a horse in 20 years due to a pretty traumatic horse accident as a child, but I felt totally at-ease, comfortable, and safe on this ride. Thank you Fiona for helping me get back in the saddle!! It felt like I never left. :^) ❣️

Fiona and my horse, Poncho, were great! Fiona was knowledgeable, friendly, and a great leader! All the horses were mellow, with great personalities!! And the desert at Granite Mnt is absolutely beautiful, esp at sunset!! After 25 years away from riding, it was great to get back in the saddle again with this great team! If you are visiting the lovely Sonoran Desert this is a must excursion, and this is the best place to book!!! Thank you Fiona and Poncho!!

Had a WONDERFUL two-hour private ride with my best friend for her birthday. Gorgeous scenery and a calm, peaceful ride. Our horses were the sweetest and very clearly well-cared for. Shelby is an outstanding guide - she has the best energy and educated us about the plants, cacti, and the location. I can't recommend Wild West Horse Adventures enough. Thanks for the great ride. First visit to Scottsdale and what better way to enjoy the unique landscape of Arizona's Granite Mountain but to be on horseback. Wild West Horse Adventures was recommend to us by someone who rides out of this Trailhead & knows their love for their horses & knowledge of the area. Fiona met us for a 2 Hour Cowpoke Ride with the most beautiful horses, great knowledge of the landscape and extra assistance for me being a non rider. Great memory with great people!
