Hawaii Polo Academy

We LOVE Hawaii Polo Academy! Ty is a fantastic teacher, bringing positive energy and enthusiasm for the sport. Our daughter has enjoyed taking riding lessons from Ty for over one year now, and really looks up to Ty as a great leader. Ty is patient, takes good care of the horses, and gets her students learning quickly. She gives her students many opportunities to tend to the horses, and also allows them to try polo if desired. We have always felt comfortable with Ty keeping our daughter safe, while also having fun in her riding lessons. We feel so incredibly fortunate to have found Hawaii Polo Academy! The community is very welcoming and kind, including many awesome people we have connected with who are involved in the program. The location is absolutely beautiful, and Ty is very good at taking her students to multiple areas on the ranch to practice different skills. It is a treat just to be out there watching! Thank you for all you do for your students, Ty! We appreciate you.

Ty is an amazing instructor and is so patient! I’ve seen so many students excel at an incredible rate through her teaching. Ty often rides with her students which helps them see exactly what she is trying to teach them during the lesson. Ty teaches her students horsemanship and how to care of the horses. If you are looking for an afternoon ride or long term lessons, you have found the perfect person with Ty!!

Ty and her team were amazing teachers when my friends and I booked a polo lesson, and so patient with beginner riders as well. She was super responsive while coordinating, and we loved it so much we went to see a polo match the very same day! I was lucky enough to be able to go back for a second visit to ride around the beautiful property, I would highly recommend booking a ride or lesson with them!

Hawaii Polo Academy has changed my life for the better. My dream has always been to improve my riding skill and be able to own my own horses one day. Being able to learn many different ways to ride a horse (bareback, English, western, Chilean) is essential if you want to be a horse owner one day in my opinion. Learning how to care for the horse and what it takes to own one (or a few), Tyneski takes time to help you know what that would mean logistically and financially. She helps make that dream a reality for many and I’m so incredibly happy I get to learn from her on a weekly basis. I’m most excited as an athlete and a horse lover, that I got to learn how to play polo!! I never knew I would love it so much or even have the chance to learn how to play, and I got it all at Hawaii Polo Academy!

My teen son and I booked a polo session with Ty and it went awesome! The horses were perfectly trained for our level of polo and Ty was awesome at helping us with our swing technique and also with posting. Ty also gave a beginner riding lesson to my 7-year-old niece while we were there so I would say this was a 10 out of 10 experience.

Ty is a great coach. My daughter has been attending her coaching sessions since last summer twice a week and not only does she love it, she’s getting incredibly good at riding. I always recommend to friends when possible.

Ty is so awesome and very knowledgeable! The grounds are a great place to learn, ride, spend time and an excellent addition to any vacation! For Kama Aina it’s an awesome way to spend a weekend and great for kids as well as adults of all ages!
