La Fleur Stables, L.L.C.

What a great experience at La Fleur Stables! I took my 8yo grandson for a stable tour with Neva who did a great job at introducing him to horses and the stable. A few weeks later we took a riding lesson together. La Fleur’s staff were amazing, kind, and encouraging. By the end of one hour my grandson was feeling very comfortable around the horses and they had him walking/guiding his horse in the ring all on his own. He walked away from this experience feeling confident and accomplished. We’re definitely continuing with more lessons.

We have been coming here weekly for 4 years now and have never had a bad experience. It’s the highlight of my daughters week and she has developed a love and skill that will serve her throughout her life. Neva is no nonsense with her instructions but she is by no stretch of the imagination mean or have I ever heard her swear like another reviewer stated. She cares about the horses and she cares about the riders, especially if they want to learn. Pictures of my daughter at her first lesson and a more recent. I love la fluer stables. Such a great barn! Very clean, professional, super nice staff and trainers. I immediately felt welcomed by La Fluer, which I really needed at the time. The horses are so sweet, i immediately fell in love with a lot of them. I am so grateful for all the lessons I took here and hope to come back soon and ride 🙂

I've been around horses most of my life, and have taken a few riding lessons here recently. It's been incredible! The horses are gorgeous, they're incredibly spoiled with beautiful pastures, big stalls, good feed, and lots of love. They're living better than me haha. Every horse has been such a different experience, and I've learned so much. I've worked with a few of the different trainers now, and they all teach uniquely, it's definitely worth meeting a few different ones to see who suits your learning style! Dawn was great for helping me get to know the horse and go through the fundamentals, super helpful for newbies. Ellie got me going fast and really helped drill in the lessons she was working on, she helped me improve my form like crazy. Emily gave a lot of explanations for how and why the horses respond the way they do, it was a great lesson for horsemanship. Neva offered the most independence with the lesson, it felt like taking a test haha, she seems great for the more advanced riders. I'd love to see a guide to what each teacher specializes in, I'm sure it'd be helpful to incoming horse lovers so they can get the best experience for themselves. I'd love to see more lesson horses come in too, more to learn and love 😍 Absolutely a worthy experience, I'll be taking lessons whenever I can afford it 💖

Our 8 year olds just had their first lesson and they're already asking when they can go back. Sienna and Jacqueline were super great with them. We're going to have to go back.

My daughter has taken two lessons with Neva-the owner. The first lesson went so-so. The second lesson was traumatizing for my daughter and the horse. The owner seemed upset that the horse was starting to drool onto the bridle. My 10 year old daughter heard her swear at the horse. As she was leading the horse out to the arena,the horse did not want to go. The drool was wiped off with a towel. She used the towel to slap the horse on the butt. She then literally slapped the horse on the face with her hand. It was hard and loud! The horse then got whipped hard on the chest. The horse jumped back in fear/pain. It was hard to watch for myself and my daughter. If you love animals,don't come here!!!! Disappointed. We will be going elsewhere!
