Mountain High Outfitters

After grabbing a bite at Mother Hen next door, we decided to peek at the gear at this store. It’s tucked away in the heart of Alpharetta in a building that’s just stunningly designed. The store is huge and filled with all sorts of cool trail, yoga, hiking, and athletic gear. Now, this isn’t your typical Dicks or Academy sports, which are more for the everyday folks trying to stretch their budget. So, get ready to spend a bit more—expect to pay retail prices of $100-$200. Unfortunately, the customer service wasn’t great. It seemed like the staff were more focused on certain types of customers. They didn’t really greet us or offer any help. So, if you’re looking for a boutique like TJ Maxx, you might want to think twice. You can probably find the same Vuori, Lululemon, Yeti, and Patagonia online or at a place where your money is valued.

Staff is super helpful at this location. Very welcoming and friendly. I’ve never had a bad experience here . Over phone communication was great. The two girls on staff that were in they’re recently helping me deserve a raise 👏🏼

I felt I should leave a review because I have been to this establishment twice and have always left leaving with items due to the supreme Customer Service.. I find the staff to be incredibly helpful not only about their products, but just in general. My mother and I stopped by there on Saturday - We traveled about an hour just to go to the store specifically. Staff are so helpful and ended up walking out with sale items. Shout out to Doug. I read some of the reviews below with the negative Customer Service experience and I strongly feel that these customers probably were high maintenance.

Such a great place w/ a great team! My family and I always look forward to stopping by and purchasing our outdoor needs/wants at Mountain High Outfitters in downtown Alpharetta! This morning I stopped by to exchange a pair of On Running shoes for my wife and the entire experience was easy, professional and even enjoyable! I can’t say enough about the "young" people who work here and their amazing personalities and professionalism! MHO in Alpharetta is the best!!

There was a water bottle I had been wanting and I was able to get it from here for a great price and I could order online for pick up. The staff was so friendly when I arrived and I really appreciated it.

Not very helpful. Don’t run the same sales as comparable stores.

Went in to browse after searching for restrooms nearby with no luck. My husband asked an employee if he could direct us in the right direction, we had two little ones so we needed to find one soon. I didn't catch his name but the older gentleman, I believe he was the manger. He was very friendly and allowed us to use their restroom. We ended up making a purchase as well, and to our surprise it was on sale so even better!
