La carne muy buena

I have been coming here for 15 years. The quality of the meats is the best and they have a generous selection of cuts. They also have pretty decent/good frozen sides & main dishes, and my family loves their mustard potato salad. At other meat markets I have visited (to try and support various locale) the butchers act like they are being bothered when you ask a question. At Moodys the butchers are friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. I have never had bad customer service at Moodys.

Spent some money on a Tomahawk Ribeye and it was WELL worth it! The marbling, tenderness, and flavor were beyond comparable. I did the reverse sear method and was able to turn out a perfect Medium steak!

First off, this place is amazing and has mostly wonderful staff. We drive from across the bridge to bulk buy are meat because it is simply delicious. We buy about $500 worth of groceries every time we come. Me and my girls enjoy coming here. My complaint is with the older gentleman that bags and checks out. Everytime he sees us come in he has a very mean look in his eye. And when we are ready to checkout he treats me rather rushed and I don’t feel comfortable. I shop alone with my kids and highly value having a comfortable shopping my experience. He’s always ticked and very annoyed at having to bag my stuff and makes mean looks at my kids. Mind you I have an autistic child who is nonverbal so she grunts sometimes (we leave quickly from certain settings for that reason out of respect for others after getting what we need). Today, he rudely gets angry at me for not putting my bags on my cart correctly, mind you again I am trying to get out of there with my kids in tow. I almost left without my things today. I’m going to try coming with my husband next time or stop coming altogether because it’s been like this every time I go and he’s there. If there is something I could do on my end to accommodate something I’m doing wrong I’ll do it but I honestly can’t imagine what else can be done. Thank you for those who have bagged and helped me get out quickly.

Still semi new-ish to Corpus and finding my go to spots for things. Have tried a couple of competitor meat markets (disappointingly so) and just went to Moody’s for the first tims last week. Needless to say, I’ve found my spot! Purchased an assortment of things and ALL was fantastic. Aside from the meat, the premade enchiladas and boudin eggrolls were outstanding. New weekly customer here🙋🏻‍♂️
