I had my wedding dress tailored here and I’m not gonna lie, I went through the reviews and was a little nervous but I had a great experience with Sylvia’s tailor shop! I got my dress two months postpartum and knew I was going to need a lot of alterations for the wedding! And I have seen some very bad bustles on tiktok that brides were unhappy with but I personally loved how they bustled my dress! I didn’t have anyone with me when I picked up my dress and they were so kind to record how to bustle it for my maid of honor to see! When they cut off length on my dress they sewed the design back onto my dress and I was very happy with the sides of my dress as well. It looked like the original dress which I was worried it wouldn’t with all the alterations! I got length taken off, sides taken off and the straps shortened! Everyone was very kind every time I went! The pictures are in order from when I first got my dress and throughout the process of alterations and the big day!

The tailors at Sylvia Tailor Shop are true experts! They worked wonders on my wedding dress that fit well in the waist, but very poorly in the chest and arms. My dress had floral appliques across the chest and I could not believe how they were able to adjust the size without altering the appearance of the appliques. In addition to resizing the top and the straps, they also hemmed the bottom and added a very intuitive bustle. It was labeled with numbers so we knew the exact order of steps. On the wedding day, bustling took less than 5 minutes. Their work is magic!

I had my wedding dress alterations done at Sylvia’s and had a wonderful experience!! They did my hem, bustle, and added straps to my strapless wedding gown. I didn’t love the look of an over bustle for my specific dress and requested something different that would maintain the silhouette of the back of the dress, they were so accommodating and created a beautiful bustle that did just that! There was one slight fit issue I noticed after picking up for the final fitting, and they had me bring it back in and fixed it the same day. Just a wonderful and very easy team to work with, I highly recommend for anyone getting wedding dress alterations!

I got my wedding dress altered here and had a spectacular experience! Everyone was so helpful and friendly! I was a bit worried going in because I wanted the dress taken out, but the experts here quickly knew what the dress needed and came up with solutions. It's perfect!! I can't wait to get married in it! I'm going to be a lifelong customer now

I brought my dress to Sylvia's not knowing what to expect. The team there was very welcoming. The alterations on my dress were perfect and my dress fit very comfortably. I was very pleased with the results and the service received. 😁😁

My wedding dress fits so perfect! Everyone was so nice when I entered the shop. I can’t wait for my big day!! They were even able to take some lace that came with matching sleeves I wasn’t going to wear to cover the bust area more. I will 100% be making the hour drive back if I ever need anything tailored!
