YMCA Storer Camps

I cannot explain how much this camp traumatized me. I am now an adult, and it’s been many many years since my school visited and I am still haunted by what I saw, heard and experienced here. Looking back, imagining my petrified self, I realize that as an adult I can speak up about what I went through here. First, there were raccoons inside and out of our cabin. It was a genuine battle to get water to shower. The food is nasty but they try to force you to eat it with a "zero waste" mentality. When I came here, I experienced what they called the "underground railroad" and it was so awful that I to this day have nightmares about it. And it has been YEARS since I was there as a child. There were huge, huge, horses running up behind you and grown adults screaming in your face. There were children shoved in tiny spaces and gun shots sounds that we had to hear, almost insinuating that our teachers were being shot a few feet away from us. It was in the middle of the night, pitch black, in the woods. And the adults did not even remotely hold back. I am talking screaming in your face like their life was on the line. I don’t understand how a program like that can even be allowed.. this camp is awful. shut it down. even if they say they don’t do the underground railroad anymore, they still thought that was okay. and who knows what they do now. shut it down.

I went to a CBTF camp there- and all the staff was so friendly, helpful, and so caring. I loved how a lot of them were from different places like Europe and Ireland! The lake was so nice also!

It’s camp storer. No complaints. Still the amazing camp it was 20 years ago. Nothing has changed. Clean facilities. Friendly staff. Scholarships available for summer camp. Great experience. Will return very soon.

I went to Storer camps a few weekends ago and it did not disappoint! Beautiful facilities, clean and spacious lodges and cabins. The staff were incredibly friendly and kids loved them! The camp directors were always around Camp checking on everyone. Overall, a great experience my kids had a blast, and we will definitely be coming again !

The best place in the world!!!! Stoney lake is breathtaking. Storer magic is all over. Super clean lodges amazing organization. Beautiful area with lots and lots a lots of sand hill cranes. If you ever have the change to go or send your kids for a overnight camp. GO!! They have family camps, kids camps, and women's adventures and wellness camp, father and son camp, School camp. Horse rides on Sunday go check out the website! Its AMAZING

Great camp for young kids. Our school does 7th grade camp there every year for the past 20sum years. The staff are some of the most energetic people I have ever met. They do a great job with the kids and have an awesome facility.
