HayWire Ranch

This was a great place to do a family outing! We came all the way from IL. Kevin was a really nice guy who was able to accommodate my 2 year old son, 4 year old nephew and 7 year old niece to ride a horse for the very first time. We had 4 adults ride a beautiful 1hr trail that lead to an open field where there was so much land for their horses to relax and graze. Their horses are very well taken care of! The staff was the most friendly bunch of people that explained how and what to expect while riding a horse. They were focused on safety the entire ride. Kevin was nice enough to take a few pics of us riding and sent them to us after the ride. We even found out they host parties and events.

We go here every week for horse lessons and we have a blast! All of the staff is friendly, and they are super patient with my girls and my 2 year old runs around chasing the dogs and goats and swinging! They are still fixing the place up but it doesn’t stop the functionality of the ranch/farm and everyone works together. We haven’t taken a trail ride yet but every single person that we see take a ride always has a FANTASTIC time! They have so much space and it’s beautiful there!! I highly recommend this place to anyone searching for a family friendly atmosphere.

I waited a long time to post this review but I decided but it's my responsibility to share my experience so that other horse owners can be aware. I boarded my two geldings here for a little over 6 months and they became severely emaciated. I was paying for full board and when my horses began to lose weight I started paying extra for additional feed and supplements. When I approach the owners about it, they kept telling me that my horses were " not acclimated to the South. " My horses are normally very easy keepers and require no additional supplements. They are actually at baseline a little on the fat side with grass alone. In addition to this, the horses developed behavioral issues from having to fight through a giant slop of mud to get into the feeding stocks. My personal items such as grooming tools went missing daily. The trails are beautiful to ride but I cannot in good faith let someone considered boarding a horse here without seeing mine.

We had a great time on the trail ride with the owner. His stable hands were knowledgeable and friendly. They took the ranch over this year and are working hard to get it all in working order. They plan to offer full suite of services from trail rides (already available), to riding lessons, training, and boarding.

I'm late with my review but we went there about 5 months ago and had a great time. The staff was a husband, wife, and sweetest little girl you could meet. Great trailers just an all around good family outing. We are planning to go back when the weather warns up. Highly recommend this place for family fun.

I actually board both of my horses at haywire. It has been the best experience imaginable. Megan and Kevin are the owners. They have been amazing and absolutely crucial to the awesome breakthroughs I've had with training my horses.

An amazing little sanctuary in the middle of hustle and bustle. Literally, IN THE CENTER of all the hustle and bustle of north Huntsville. Total love!!!
