We have been a chicken CSA member in multiple seasons, and a casual purchaser of eggs and pork in many others. I'm vegetarian these days, but I feel good about the lives of the animals on this farm and this is how we successfully navigate the differences in our "blended" food choices family. Prices are quite reasonable as well for non-factory farmed meats. Plus, the family who runs this farm are wonderful to do business with. Really good people.

My husband and I purchased a membership in Jodar's CSA years ago, and we have stayed with them over the years because we believe in what they do. Jodar Farms cares for their animals and for practicing sustainable methods of production. I love the pork, especially the chops, hams, sausages, and shoulder roasts. If that sounds like the whole hog, you would be right! As a CSA member, I have access to some of the best chicken, duck, and turkey that we've ever prepared. Our Thanksgiving meal always features one of their turkeys. They're delicious! Local grass-fed beef is available, and if you need real maple syrup for your pancakes, there's some available at the farm. We highly recommend Jodar Farms. Support your local farmer!
