Barrels & Branches

As many others have noted - Barrels & Branches is a gem and the staff are experts at what they do. Their plants are the highest quality that I’ve found in San Diego. Selection: Beautiful assortment of pottery shapes, sizes, and colors. Very chic options that go above and beyond Armstrong and other chain nurseries - but are similar in price. Great value! Plants: So fun to wander through their selection. Plants are really well maintained and "trained" - you’re going to get straight trunks, healthy plants, and a variety of sizes. Really fun succulent selection too with gorgeous options! Service: I’ve come to Barrels & Branches for a few different projects and each time I’ve loved working with the staff. When I was super pregnant they were SO helpful moving inventory around and loading everything into my car. That didn’t stop once I came back postpartum! It’s their norm to be incredibly helpful and help you load. Independent Ownership: The owner Sam is really generous with her time and has given me a ton of great advice. I feel much more knowledgeable about the zone I live in and what works for our family’s garden because of B&B. It’s clear she has a passion for what she does and I love that she passes that on into the community. Love this place!

I'm not sure how to explain this place. It's your weird, fabulously rich aunt's lake house backyard hosting a succulent horticultural society's annual gathering AND a pottery show. Your aunt also has an incredible mineral collection. Losing yourself if the twisting paths is easy, and it's amazing to just take a look around. But the plants and pots are all very fairly priced, so if you are looking to decorate inside or out, they have you covered.

I cannot say enough about how amazing this place is!! Hands down the most impressive and beautiful nurseries I’ve been to! The staff were so kind, and the plants all looked well taken care of! Pricing was fair, and I was able to find everything I wanted- plus extra. I will definitely be coming again!!!

Samantha the owner gives incredible advice and ideas. She’s created a beautiful, whimsical garden and everyone I came into contact with was lovely. Great vibes and beautiful plants. I will be back!

They have an excellent selection of indoor and outdoor plants. The customer service is top notch and the staff is very friendly and helpful.

<3<3<3 this place! We drive down monthly from the OC just to meander the winding trails and explore the alcoves and wide selection of succulents, annuals and gifts. I highly recommend the trip to this place over industrial rows in the typical nursery. I only wished to see this place lit up in the evening during an event! Bonus to the "family" friendly environment and staff!
