Crossed Sabres Ranch

This was a trip of a lifetime for me. I've always wanted to go out west, ride horses in the mountains and see Yellowstone. Crossed Sabres Ranch went above and beyond to make, not only my experience, but every guest at the ranch experience all the activities and beauty this place has and so much more. My first impression was driving up the driveway, Sunday afternoon to the main lodge and everyone from the ranch walking out to greet us. It was like arriving home from a long trip. I can't say enough about the owners, all the wranglers, chefs and housekeeping. Our cabin was exactly as I had imagined, very comfortable. Each day we could choose whatever we wanted to do. The horses are absolutely beautiful and very sure-footed in the rugged mountain terrain. I just loved my horse for the week "Madison". You won't go hungry at the ranch either. Three delicious meals each day with endless cookies, coffee or beverages. A trip to Yellowstone on Tues along with square dancing, skeet shooting, white water rafting, hiking, fishing etc. Beautiful views in every direction and if you're the type person to just lay low and read a book, they have that as well. There is something for everyone at this ranch. I would highly recommend Crossed Sabres Ranch as they made my dreams come true!!!!!

In August 2025 we had an amazing stay at Crossed Sabres ranch! Kenny and Laura are so kind and accommodating. Our boys, 10 And 8 were the perfect age to be in heaven at this ranch. We loved the fly fishing and the guides JD and Gibby were so helpful. All of us caught fish! The action was nonstop and the accommodations were clean, cozy and we slept great. Horseback riding led by Maddie was A++ we went on many trail and saw beautiful sights. They always took photos of us up on the trails. This was a life changing experience for our family.

One of the best vacations we have ever been on! I took my son to the Crossed Sabres Ranch and we had an amazing week! We went from never riding horses to riding through rivers and up mountains. The fly fishing on the river was fantastic and the scenery was gorgeous. It was very peaceful. We went on a day tour of Yellowstone and our guides were very knowledgeable about the park and we saw of bison, elk, deer and bald eagles. All the other activities they offer are fantastic as well. We went skeet shooting, river rafting, learned how to square dance and went to a rodeo in Cody. The staff was very talented, knowledgeable and personable and interacted with the guests all week. The host family was very hospitable and such a pleasure to be around. It really felt like a family experience. We really enjoyed the smaller number of guests because it made it more personal. The food was homemade right down to the biscuits. It was excellent and great variety throughout the week. The cabins were great and felt very cozy. I would highly recommend the Crossed Sabres Ranch. We can't wait to go back! Thank you Kenny, Laura and Garrett for such an incredible experience!

We had an amazing experience at Crossed Sabres Ranch! We are a family of four (two parents, two elementary school aged children) and truly had the vacation of a lifetime at Crossed Sabres. They make the experience wonderful down to the smallest detail like providing reusable water bottles to remind guests to drink enough water and gifting the children with horseshoes decorated with "their" horses' names at the end of the week. The ranch is gorgeous. The staff are well-trained, friendly, and great with kids. The food is delicious. The activities are numerous, including riding, archery, hiking, fly fishing, white water rafting, skeet shooting, square dancing, and trips to Yellowstone and the Cody Rodeo. We tried almost everything and loved the experiences! Laura, Kenny, and Garrett were gracious hosts, and the staff, including Grace, Gibson, Maddie, Nick, John, Evan, and more were patient, kind, and just fun to hang out with! Truly I cannot say enough good things about our vacation at Crossed Sabres. It was a high quality experience in every way!

We just got back from the most amazing trip to Crossed Sabres Ranch, and we're already talking about when we can go back. Kenny and Laura, the owners, along with everyone who works there, made us feel like part of the family. So welcoming and kind. The food was incredible (we're still thinking about some of those meals!), and the activities were endless. We did horseback riding, fly-fishing, rafting, hiking, skeet shooting, a rodeo, and a full day tour of Yellowstone. The location itself is something else. It's hard to put into words just how beautiful it is out there. The mountains, the open skies, the peacefulness - it all felt so majestic. Everywhere you turned it was like a postcard. It honestly takes your breath away. Such a special place with even better people. Highly recommend!

We had the most incredible experience at Crossed Sabres Ranch. Kenny, Laura, Garrett, and the entire staff made us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. It truly felt like we were part of the ranch family. The setting is absolutely stunning. Teh mountains, wide open skies, and peaceful surroundings are hard to describe - you really have to see it to believe it! Every view looked like something off of a postcard. Our cabin was clean and comfortable. Cozy and relaxing. There's no shortage of things to do here. We packed in horseback riding, hiking, archery, fly-fishing, skeet shooting, Cody nite rodeo, tour of Yellowstone, and learned to square dance! And the food? Absolutely delicious. Every meal was a treat! This place was something special. We're so glad we found it. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a true western experience with incredible people and unforgettable views.

Stayed in August of 24. Any ranch in the Yellowstone region can offer the wonderful surroundings of the region but in my belief what Crossed Sabres does likely better than others is the quality of their staff. Kenny and Laura clearly put a great deal of work into hiring their staff. They all show off the best qualities and the effort they put into the guest experience is amazing. The tone is set by staff leaders Maddie and Nick who are an amazing duo who clearly make sure their level of guest service is executed by their summer staff. The time and effort the staff put into not just the adult experience but making sure the kids enjoy a once in a lifetime experience really stands out. Kenny and Laura and their son Garrett are great hosts really looking to meet the expectations of guests. They clearly have running the ranch down to an exact science, all guests feel like it is a vacation built around their desires. Food quality and variety were excellent, rooms were very clean and comfortable and proximity to Yellowstone can't be discounted.
