Witte Stables

Peter and Susan Witte are some of the kindest and most wonderful people we have met and worked with. They actively work with children and have the perfect touch when connecting with them. My daughter started a couple of months ago and joined their summer camp for a week and absolutely loves it. Peter levels the kids up nicely and ensures they are getting the most out of every lesson. Highly recommend. We have sessions where there are kids as young as 5 in class, and they have a sweet, gentle mare - Tinker - that beginners ride on.

We can’t say enough good things about Witte Stables! The camps are absolutely adorable and so well-run! Susan and Peter really go above and beyond to make it a special experience for the kids. My daughter lis completely hooked on her horseback riding lessons there too! Such a wonderful place for both girls and boys ⭐️

Peter and Susan Witte have an excellent riding program that really engages children and is safe and fun. They are professional, welcoming and very experienced trainers. They provide excellent hands on training for both riders and horses. They offer a fun, barn family experience at competitive shows and their ability to interact with kids is second to none. They offer it all...lessons, horse ownership and fun summer camps. They are honest, down to earth owners who would go the extra mile for anyone, rider or horse in training. Disregard the angry Groupon reviewer, anyone who knows them will tell you they are stellar people!

Witte Stables has been a wonderful experience for both of my children (10 & 8). They have been taking riding lessons with Peter and Susan for almost a year now. My daughter attended her first camp over 2 years ago and we couldn’t be happier. Thank you Witte Stables for the safe and loving environment you have created.

This is not a place for children! While Susan and Peter certainly know their stuff, they are not good with kids. They constantly remind you how expensive their horses are and that they're worth more than the children riding them - they say this in front of the children, often. Peter has wild mood swings; one lesson he's nice and the next he's impatient and yelling. Susan is consistently cold. There is zero fun allowed at this stable because they never let you pet, feed, groom or tack up the horses. It's like "Gray Garden" with this aging brother-sister duo. Stay away.

Witte Sables is the best! The owners Susan and Peter, do such an amazing job coaching the kids. My daughter loves going to their /spring/summer camp!

We started riding lessons with Susan and Peter for our 5 year old a few months ago and love it. They're very patient with her and do well bringing it down to her level. She loves being around the horses and learning how to ride and take care of them. The arena is covered as well, which is nice on the warmer days. We would definitely recommend them!
