After happily boarding at two other local barns which closed, I came upon Crazy Horse, highly recommended by my former barn manager. I visited and interviewed multiple other facilities, and I was sold after interviewing Debbie and Glen and reading Irish’s mom’s review. I felt so lucky to have secured a stall for my then barely 2yo filly, and I have continued to feel fortunate every day since. She has grown incredibly and I am so grateful for the safe and loving, yet disciplined environment she is in. She is now 3.5 and I plan to keep her there until I one day have my own property. It should be noted that I drive 45min each way, past several barns for the privilege of boarding at Crazy Horse. As for negative reviews you may see on this website, I would ask you to consider that there are two types of horse owners: those who want a horse to take cute pictures with for social media and parade around while others care for their horse (including emergencies, complicated wound care, and regular medications), and those who want to have a bond with their horse and learn and grow with it on a regular basis and be present in their lives. Either way, Glen and Debbie will without a doubt provide exceptional, consistent care. However, the owner and the horse who don’t share that opportunity miss out on this experience. That is a personal choice and not a reflection of this barn’s care.

Great people, owners go way above what most owners would do. The barn and stalls are always kept clean. Deb is great, she is taking care of my horse while I move across country.I couldn't ask for a better person to take care of Logan.

Debbie takes excellent care of the horses. They always have clean water, stalls, and the barn is kept tidy. All the horses are well fed and looked over well. She keeps a safe environment and she welcomes all disciplines; very family friendly. You can bring your trainer too. I would definitely recommend to a friend.

Self proclaimed "Best of Tampa", Crazy Horse sadly does not live up to it's self given title but does live up to its name. Crazy is what you get, from encouraged drama, to improperly handled medical emergencies, this stable does not communicate properly with its boarders. The care has significantly declined and horses are fed a different times each day ensuring that they are not on a schedule to comfort them. The owners complain often about the work they do and are in desperate need of help however have yet to hire a hand. The property needs significant upgrades and while it offers many amenities, none meet the quality of surrounding barns. When addressing the problems experienced with multiple other boarders, our concerns were met with excuses rather than concern by the owners. While this facility offers a very low price, it is very clear you receive what you pay for, cheap quality of care.

This is an incredible barn. Quality care and service well beyond what other barns offer, and then some. Knowledgeable staff, compassionate and loving care for every horse and highly recommended. The best part, is that drama makers are not welcome. This location is exclusive for only those who want the best for their best equine friend.

I have been boarding at Crazy Horse for almost a year now, and the best way to describe this place is "feeling like home". The owners and the other boarders are all so welcoming and kind, and we all share the same thing in common: the love for our horses. I met with Debbie for the first time last December to tour the barn and discuss the needs of my senior mare with pre-existing health conditions, and it was exactly what I was looking for. I was able to choose the feed/hay I wanted for my horse and have it delivered to the barn. The horses all follow a regular schedule of turnout on nice pastures, 2x/day feeding, and they will add supplements to the feed upon request. I have experienced a medical emergency with my mare in the past, and the entire situation couldn’t have been handled any better than it was. My horse presented with signs of colic around lunch time, and Debbie notified me immediately. Care was provided right away for her as I was on my way out to the barn. This emergency lasted into the night, and due to her medical conditions, she lost this battle. Debbie and Glen stayed out there with my husband and I until it was over. I have since found a new horse and returned to Debbie and Glen’s barn. They welcomed my new horse and I back with open arms, and we couldn’t be more excited to be home. In the 3 months he’s been here, I’ve seen his demeanor change from a timid and non-trusting gelding into a loving/affectionate young horse. Debbie and Glen go above and beyond to care for these horses and treat them as if they were their own. The safety and happiness of the horses are always among the top priorities, and it shows. I could not be happier with the care these horses are given, and the hard work Debbie and Glen put into this barn to make it happen.

My husband and I just returned to Crazy Horse boarding with our two horses. After trying different facilities in the area and not finding one that worked for our family we contacted Glen and Debbie about returning. They immediately welcomed us back into the barn and upon arriving we knew we where home and so did our horses. Glen and Debbie’s care goes up and beyond when it comes to caring for the horses. They have a dependable and consistent feeding schedule, evening giving some horses lunch if needed. They feed what I provide and they way I want it feed. They will soak cubes, add supplements, and even do monthly sand purge if the owner wants. I have seen them prepare feed for the most complicated horses and simply ask that the owner provide what is needed and give instructions. Many places I looked at either require you to follow their feed plan or won’t do past the basics. They also have hay delivered, which is convenient. I never worry about weather my horses are being cared for or about their safety! I have watched as Glen and Debbie stood with a horse that hurt its self waiting for the vet because they owner couldn’t come out. They then gave the horse the required medicine and care. So I know if something happened my babies would be okay until I got there. Some places won’t even text you when your horse is injured, never mind do what Glen and Debbie do with no additional charge! They do it because they love the horses and care. Their barn is a family barn set back off the road and private. The stalls are big and open allowing the horses to see each other and be part of the barn, they are not locked away. It is not a show barn, but to me and my husband they have what matter most and that is a beautiful facility where my horses have plenty of pasture time, consistent feeding, and turn out schedule.
