Second time here and it was even better than the first time! We stayed in Cabin 2 with the sauna and hot tub combo, which was great for how cold it was the weekend we stayed there. We signed up for the horse experience and Saturday morning my fiancé and I were introduced to all the horses and were able to walk some around to different holding areas. Rachel and Scott were great hosts! They even held off on decorating our cabin until night 2 as I proposed up in Frankenmuth that day, so we were able to come back to the surprise of our place being decorated to celebrate our engagement. Overall great experience and would highly recommend to anyone looking for something a short drive from metro area but is still a perfect relaxing getaway away from the hustle and bustle. Thanks Stillwater for great memories!

I hosted a mini retreat here and couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful, well-cared-for space. Every detail was thoughtfully prepared, and the team was warm, professional, and incredibly supportive throughout the day. The environment felt calm, welcoming, and spacious, allowing the experience to unfold naturally without feeling rushed. Truly a special place — I’d highly recommend it for events or a peaceful getaway, and I look forward to returning.

We had our wedding here in January and I cannot say enough good things about Stillwater. The owners are incredible, so kind, so thoughtful and the love and care they have put into the property is so clear. All of the staff we worked with were professional, helpful and on top of everything. It was a beautiful day and we are so grateful for everything Stillwater did for us! We will absolutely be making an annual trip (minimally) back!

We stayed one night in Cabin 1 at Stillwater Stables & Stays and it was pure magic. The cabin was cozy, spotless, and beautifully designed with every detail thoughtfully done. We loved being surrounded by the horses and the peaceful open space. You can walk right down to the lake which makes the whole property feel calm and private. The hot tub under the stars was a favorite and the spa experience was amazing with the infrared sauna and cold plunge. Even though we were only there for one night it felt like a full reset. The owners clearly care about every part of the property from the stables to the cabins. If you are looking for a quick escape that feels far from everyday life Stillwater Stables & Stays is it. We are already planning to come back for a longer stay.

Beautiful location! Very peaceful and tranquil. My mom and I came for a night to celebrate her birthday. We booked the "soak & stay" experience which included a hot tub, dry sauna, cold plunge, and outdoor shower. We were immediately greeted by our host and they went over and beyond to make sure our stay was comfortable. The amenities were wonderful. The grounds are beautiful and made for a fun hike. Highly recommend this experience to anyone into camping/glamping. And if you are a fan of yoga, this experience was perfect for that as well. Lastly, this location was very easy to find.

I thoroughly enjoyed Stillwater Stables! From the amazing customer service and friendly staff (Rachel, Scott and Bree were amazing) to the gorgeous horses! I loved every part of it. I only used the SOAK Spa service and didn’t stay in an actual cabin but maybe next time I will. The SOAK spa was relaxing with having access to the hot tub and sauna and other amenities included! The highlight of my stay though was getting to visit the horses and learn more about the property! I will for sure visit again soon!

We recently had our wedding at Stillwater Stables, and it was truly the most magical, unforgettable day. From start to finish, the entire experience was incredible, and we can’t recommend this venue highly enough. Rachel, Scott and Brie were amazing to work with—so kind, responsive, and full of thoughtful ideas that helped us shape a ceremony that felt flawless and deeply personal. Their support throughout the planning process made everything so much easier and more enjoyable. The property itself is breathtaking. Every inch is beautifully maintained, peaceful, and full of rustic charm. It created the perfect backdrop for our ceremony and celebration. One of the highlights of the day was getting to arrive at the aisle in the most fun and unique way—Scott drove me (the bride) up in his vintage car! It was such a special, memorable entrance, and the photos we got with the car are absolutely classic. It added such a timeless, elegant touch to our day. Another detail we loved were the horses! Brie kindly brought them out for us during photos, and it made for such a whimsical and enchanting addition. Our guests were in awe, and it made the entire atmosphere feel so warm and alive. The on-site Airbnbs were another huge bonus—beautiful, cozy, and perfect for hosting guests close by. Stillwater Stables will always hold a special place in our hearts. If you’re looking for a venue that’s stunning, welcoming, and truly unique, this is the one. We couldn’t be more grateful.
