I have been to a lot of barns over the course of my 25 years in horses. This barn is arguably one of the best, if not the best in overall care. The fields are magnificent. There are lots of lovely trails. The care is outstanding with such individualized attention. The owner is very knowledgeable. I can’t sing her praises enough. I feel very lucky to have found Serene Acres and I would recommend it to anyone.

Amazing facility with top-notch care! Jessica, barn owner, lives onsite and checks on the horses multiple times per day. She cares for all of them as if they are her own! I never had to worry about my mare or her care. Stalls cleaned daily, turnout daily, fresh and clean water always provided. Jessica is a wonderful person and treats her boarders like family! Barn is convenient to both Burlington and Greensboro. Lots of beautiful acres to ride, as well as an arena and round pen. Very reasonably pricing for the quality of care given! Highly recommend!!

Jessica has been the most amazing person ever. She helped me with starting off with my first horse and she has been teaching me everything. I had a bad experience with the lady I bought my horse from and Jessica has been so great with helping me with my bad experience. She has help my hand the entire way. We have also developed a great friendship too. Her barn is probably the cleanest I have ever seen for horse barns. She truly goes the extra mile. I like how her facility is small and home like and your not competing for space with other people riding. I would highly recommend this barn to anyone.

I’m a long-time boarder at Serene Acres—-long-time because Jessica provides top notch care and my horse is happy/thriving there! If you want hands on care by a knowledgeable person, take a look at Serene Acres. Small family farm with friendly boarders. Generous hay, stalls/water buckets cleaned everyday, nice arena and roundpen—and lovely trails on site for riding alone or in a group—-or hand-walking your horse like I do! Generous turn out time into well managed pastures with small group of horsey friends. I’m not related to Jessica in any way—just a boarder who wants to get the word out about a great place for your horse!

Jessica gives amazing care! My horse always has quality hay and green pastures! This place has ample turn out and big roomy stalls. The trails are super safe and private. In the winter they get blanketed and heated buckets, and an automatic waterer in the pasture that never freezes. In the summer fly sheets and fly spray. My horse and I love this place and are going on 2.5 years and his health has improved significantly, this includes body condition and hoof health. Jess always keeps a very close eye on your equine pal and I never have to worry about unnoticed injury or my horse acting off, she will let you know. Also, the vet is right up the road for vet checkups or emergencies. This place is truly horse heaven on earth. Thanks for everything you do Jess!

Some things are just meant to be! Jessica established her farm right around the time I was starting to consider buying my first horse. I found the farm on Facebook and came to do a barn tour not long after. Conveniently it was not far from my trainer at the time and within my budget. Whiskey joined the farm in 2017 as the first boarder - and since then the barn has changed so much! There's now have a grass arena and round pen, more stalls, and trails on the property. Jessica is always looking to add different features to make it better for her residents and riders. If you are looking for a place to board your horse near Greensboro or Burlington, you couldn't find better boarding barn. The horses are always well cared for, Jessica cares for them like they are her own and she is a wealth of knowledge. As a first time horse owner I leaned on her a lot for advice, and she never steered me wrong! Highly recommended!

We have been boarding our two horses at Serene for over a year now. Jessica is so caring for our animals, especially if we can't make it out for whatever the reason. She keeps us updated on findings, changes and challenges in a supportive knowledgable way. Our horses have quality hay that fill their nets, clean stalls, and always fresh clean water. You never have to wonder if they are getting enough food, water or turnout (which is huge for my HYPP horse)! The horses that are currently here are so kind and loving too! I have learned so much just being at this barn and the other boarders don't bring an extra negative drama. We all support and love our barn family (4 legs and 2). The Property has wonderful peaceful trails to ride or walk. Plus a bonus of being close to Northeast Park if you want something different. I have come to just find peace eating lunch overlooking the fields on some days. We will be here as long as we can!!! Thank you Jess and Family for loving our horses!!!
