Forbes Ranch KC

Forbes Ranch is a very special place. Facilities and care are unmatched anywhere in the KC area. Kim and staff care for your horse like it’s their own with love, comfort and safety. They are the hardest working people in the boarding industry! Barn, arena, pastures and trails are always clean and well-maintained. Can’t say enough great things about this place.

I call this barn "horse heaven". The horses get immaculate care. The owner is very knowledgeable and goes above and beyond. I frequently say that I don't bring my horses home to my own land because I could never duplicate the quality of care that they receive by being at Forbes. The staff are all wonderful and experienced in horse care. If they notice anything different about one of my horses I immediately receive a text or call. I especially like that the stabled horses have small turn out groups that are determined by personality and compatibility. What I most appreciate is the complete dedication the owner has for providing the very best care for my horses. They are always available if I need help or if I have any type of concern. I also love how clean they keep the barn. The atttention to detail is amazing. They keep the entire property to the highest level of maintenance, anything needing to be fixed or repaired is immediately addressed. I have been to plenty of other barns, they don't come close to the same quality as you will find at Forbes. I cant imagine boarding somewhere else. ❤

I absolutely love Forbes Ranch! I have been boarding my horse here for over 4 years and would never board anywhere else. The facility is gorgeous and kept very clean. The owner, Kim, and staff take excellent care of the horses and are very knowledgeable. Kim gladly caters to the individual needs of each horse, both young and old. It gives me such peace of mind knowing that my fur baby is being checked on all the time and getting the best care possible. Turnout for stalled horses switches from days to nights in the summer which is a huge bonus with the heat and flys. They also have individual stall fans and auto waterers to provide them with fresh, clean water at all times. The turnout includes both grass and dry lots which is wonderful for horses with metabolic issues. The horses also have their meals spread out throughout the day which is so much better for their bellies. The outdoor arena, indoor arena, and on-site trails are an added bonus as well! I’m so thankful to have my horse at such an amazing facility and would highly recommend it!

I can not say enough good things about this facility, the staff & owners. The facility is immaculate & set up with the comfort and safety of the horses in mind. The owner & staff are very knowledgeable, caring and treat the horses as their own. The Individual attention & knowledge of each horse’s routine & personality is impressive. I have boarded horses throughout the country & this facility is one of the best. Plus the other boarder & clients are so friendly. My mare experienced colic that was caught in the early morning hours by the astute staff & owner when she went off her feed. The owner had already called the vet based on her extensive conversations regarding medical emergencies by the time I arrived at the barn. She helped arrange transportation to a equine surgical facility by fellow boarders, who volunteered to get my mare to the clinic ASAP. Once we arrived, stayed for hours offering support & comfort. Although the outcome was not the way any of us had hoped, I am grateful for everyones rapid response & coming together for both my mare & myself. I am "horseless" now but I hope that will change in the future & I will 100% be looking to return to Forbes Ranch. I highly recommend this facility & would easily give a higher rating than 5/5 if I could!

Great barn with owner and staff that care about the horses. Kim goes above and beyond to be sure the needs of each horse are met. She also works hard to keep the atmosphere of the barn friendly and drama free. Makes Forbes a great place for horses and people.

Could not be a better boarding facility. I travel a TON for work am completely at ease with my mare being in the care of Kim and the rest of the Forbes Ranch team. Kim treats all of these horses as if they were her own, and the facilities are top notch.

Love this place. Very focused on great care for the horses. Almost impossible to find a boarding facility that treats each horse like their own. But Kim and her staff at Forbes do.
