The Holistic Horsemanship Institute of America is truly outstanding! Lisa is an incredible teacher whose passion, knowledge, and patience shine through in every lesson. She has a remarkable ability to connect with both horse and rider, making each session not only educational but also inspiring and confidence-building. The riding lessons are a perfect blend of technical skill, horsemanship philosophy, and genuine care for the horses. Lisa’s approach makes learning fun, safe, and empowering—whether you’re brand-new to riding or looking to refine advanced skills. My daughter always walks away from lessons feeling more connected, more capable, and more in tune with the horse. If you’re looking for a place where you’ll grow as a rider while also deepening your understanding and respect for horses, I can’t recommend the Holistic Horsemanship Institute of America enough. Lisa’s guidance is life-changing, and the experience here is nothing short of amazing!

Wonderful place! Nonprofit rescue that saves as many horses as they can! Lisa focuses on the partnership between rider and horse. Thus, she creates a wonderful connection between the partners. It is also amazing to see the herd of horses interact. Hudson is the herd leader and he makes sure everything is in order. Sadye retired her position of lead horse after she taught him how to be a leader. It is truly amazing to see these horses interact. I’ve been a member for a year now and I am so thankful for this outlet! They also have some great land for trail rides. I love all the animals there, especially the pot belly pigs and sheep! Peanut loves belly rubs and all of them, including the chickens, love fruit! And the sheep love unsalted sunflower seeds 🙂

HHIA is a great environment for the family. Kids and adults alike, love to pet the sheep, pigs, chickens, cats and more that are roaming the property. The lessons are great, but riders will learn more than just riding. They'll learn a lot about the animals and about themselves.

Lisa is the kind person that can help u learn from just how to sit on a horse to galloping on a horse. I love that she tells u what u are doing wrong and she has experienced it like, so if u look down when u are jumping that cross rale cause I did it and I slided off the shoulder or something like that. And I learn from what she tells me she did in the past. I think that's the best thing ever well I could go on and on with great things about Lisa and her camp but i have to go so byeee and wish u guys visit Lisa she is awesome. 😀
