Prosperity Stables of Virginia/Catawba Equestrian Center

My horse Samson and I have had the pleasure of being at Prosperity Stable/Catawba Equestrian Center since mid May. I have been very impressed with how welcoming, interested in, and professional the owners, James and Sheila Farmer, and their stable manager, Jessie Foster, have been in getting me and Samson settled in at this lovely place. It is truly a haven for horses and their owners! They have been very sensitive to my return, after many years, of being a horse owner again, and accommodating to Samson’s needs. I have so enjoyed this very well-kept stable, the beautiful surrounding grounds, and the inviting indoor and outdoor arenas, and fun trails. Being at Prosperity has been a great experience and I feel so fortunate to be there with my favorite new horse. I look forward to deepening the friendships I have begun and sharing adventures Samson and I will have. Amy Elliott

Boarding Wild Mustang Watson here has been the BEST decision!!! The facility is amazing, the people that board here are more like a community of great people who care deeply for all the heartbeats! Watson gets the best of the best being a resident here! Thank you for accepting us into this group! Ever thankful!!!

I have been to a lot of barns in 22 years of owning my horse and this is one of the friendliest, relaxed places of all! Great horses, knowledgeable owners and live in caregiver and wonderful, cheerful boarders. Love it!

This facility is absolutely picturesque! I have not been to a cleaner or more organized boarding barn. The barn manager and owners are really good people. They have made so many improvements as well. Amazing industrial ceiling fans in the indoor ring, heated/cooled tack and office. They also care so much about equine nutrition. They take care to put together great resources for the boarders. Wonderful instructors. Love the new trails! Highly recommend!

I moved my two quarter horses to CEC in October 2024. The grounds and facilities are beautiful and well-kept. The owners, James and Sheila Farmer, are extremely involved and are investing in improvements to the barn. We are especially grateful for the full-time barn manager, Jessie Foster, who loves the horses and is exceptionally vigilant about any changes in the horses. Catawba Equestrian Center is an exceptional facility and I love spending time there with my horses and the other boarders!!!

We recently moved to the area and feel extremely blessed that we found Prosperity Stables for my horse, Oliver. He has met some wonderful new friends and paddock mates!! Not to mention the amazing people who own and operate the stable. They are so caring! We’re very happy with the facilities, including the indoor and outdoor arenas and the trails. We’re so happy to be there!

I truly mean best place in the world to board you horse! I always know that my two baby's are taken care of by people who love them as much as I do, but not only that but the community and the people at Catawba are something I will ALWAYS be forever grateful for, me and my horses have never felt more at home!!! And the facility itself is beautiful!
