So happy to have found such a great facility to layover with our draft horses. Helena Has been absolutely wonderful to work with. She goes above and beyond for the horses and the owners. We felt very at ease to leave our horses with her while we got a hotel for the night. Could not have been happier with our experience and would recommend her to anyone. Hope to use her facility again in the future!

My horse has been at Blue Ridge Stables for a month now and is very happy. Our new barn has allowed him to turn the corner from some illnesses and injuries and we are finally back in a good place. He gets great care, the facilities are beautiful and clean, and Helena and the staff are very helpful. I’m very happy to be at Blue Ridge Stables.

I’ve long called this the Blue Ridge Horse Spa, because the facility is amazing. The generous size stalls are cleaned every day. The barn is kept immaculate. Pastures that the horses graze on are daily maintained and seem to always be green. I can’t say enough about Helena Samuel, the owner, and the other wonderful staff who work there. They are hands on every day with every horse they care for. You can be assured every horse there is happy, healthy, and loved. Helena is in constant communication with owners, informing you of any event that is happening whether it be weather, farrier appointments, vet appointments, or a pretty pic of your horse. Both of my ponies are at Blue Ridge Stables, and I would never go anywhere else.

Happy horses! Not only did my horses love it here but so did we. Helena is a true professional and makes you feel at home immediately. She treats your horses with love and respect….and the facilities are like nothing I’ve ever seen. I highly recommend Blue Ridge… your horse will thank you!

Gorgeous property! Spotless barn and fields. Barn is equipped with fans for each stall and storage lockers for each stall, as well as a private bathroom for her boarders. Indoor and outdoor arenas are well-tended. Helena seems knowledgeable and organized and clearly loves the horses. Great location in Hanover County!

Another seamless stay with Helena at Blue Ridge Stables, her attention to detail and facilities are unmatched. The barn is beautifully kept and so well thought through. Helena’s dedication to her farm is above and beyond! The property is stunning and the hospitality is even better. We are so grateful to have had the opportunity to make it our home for the night. Blue Ridge Stables is one of the finest equine facilities you can find in Richmond. The barn and property are kept in pristine and safe condition, something which makes for happy and healthy horses! The owner and manager, Helena, is extremely attentive and flexible such that she provides 5 star care to the horses and the boarders. We have kept our horse with them for years, and those years and all to come have been some of the best. I cannot recommend Blue Ridge enough.
