Horse Hotel

Loved it. Been passing the place for years as a truck driver. Always figured I would stop one day never really looked into it because I never go the first time without the wife. Met her there this time and had Father's Day / birthday dinner. Then stayed the night in the hotel. Rustic is true. very well themed. Shouldn't have been surprised about the truck parking Since it's also a horse hotel. I just hadn't really looked into it hard enough. It was clean. Unless you're trying to go for a Hilton type city slicker super upscale rhinestone cowboy experience then this place will do just fine. I've seen reviews about having three flies in the room what would you expect Texas in the summertime near horses they don't just fly in a certain area the whole town has this going on. If that's the case don't go to Dodge City. My only problem was that the hard water stains on the stainless steel we're setting off my maintenance OCD and the metal stairs had a little bit of surface rust which could have been taken care of and probably should be eventually but definitely nothing structural and still is safe and sturdy. That's just me though. Now that the wife has been there with me the first time (it's tradition) I will now be stopping more often when I'm running 40.

The horse hotel at the Big Texas Motel is very convenient when my family need a place for our horses. They’re right next to us. We don’t have to leave them at a place and then go somewhere else. It’s so convenient. And by the restaurant as well. So if we’re just stopping for dinner or lunch, we can leave our horses for two hours for free while we enjoy our meal the stalls are always clean and well kept Whenever I have a question the ladies at the front desk either find a solution or help. To keep my horses heathy and safe

I couldn’t be happier with our stay. The stalls were immaculate, turnout areas were well-maintained, and the staff was incredibly attentive. My horse settled in right away thanks to the calm environment and excellent care. It’s clear everyone here truly loves what they do. We’ll definitely be back!

We had a great experience at this horse hotel. While they primarily provide the space, everything was well set up, clean, and thoughtfully maintained. The facilities were exactly what we needed, and the overall environment was calm and horse-friendly. What a perfect situation while traveling with horses! Clean and convenient, with options of enclosed stalls or turnouts, as well as a round pen, to exercise them, when on long trips. Also, convenient parking for trailers and haulers, right there. Make sure to get a room for the humans as well at the Motel and grab you at 72 oz. Steak to fill your belly, and get a good night's sleep!

I recommend this place every chance I can. It can be stressful trying to find somewhere to stay when traveling with large animals. The stalls are clean and the staff is always so pleasant and helpful. The Big Texan Horse Hotel is an easy choice every time when passing through Amarillo.
