My wife and I stayed here last weekend to celebrate our 27th wedding anniversary and we could not have been MORE HAPPY with our decision!!! Such an amazing and beautiful old home that has so much character and charm!!! We had never stayed at a BNB before this. It was something that my wife was always a bit unsure of and was even unsure when I booked this one...until we got there! 🙂 She LOVED it!!! Again, the home is beautiful, and the owners (Devona and Steve) are simply AMAZING and just great people!!! I believe we enjoyed speaking with them and spending time with them as much as we did the stay!! Also, words cannot describe the breakfast!!!!! Sooooo good!!! You will not be disappointed and come hungry!!! If you are looking for a great, quaint, beautiful home to spend a couple of days, this is the perfect place!!! HUGE thank you Devona and Steve for welcoming us into your beautiful home with literally open arms! You made our stay, and more importantly, our anniversary, a very special one and one we will not forget anytime soon! We cannot wait to come back and we will take you up on that offer to sit on the patio and enjoy a good bourbon and great conversations! Thank you again!!
I stayed in the bedroom called the Courting Chamber for a single night while here for a conference. I prefer B&Bs over hotels and was delighted to find this one. It is a historic home, and it truly felt like stepping back in time to stay here- yet with modern conveniences. I chose the Courting Chamber primarily due to the incredible garden jacuzzi tub, as well as the coziness of the room and its color palette. ||Steve and Devona were gracious hosts, and the "Kentucky gourmet" breakfast was so good! A special bonus is that they sell the Deneen Pottery mugs with their B&B on it. I collect these, and not every B&B has them, but many do. ||There are also gorgeous grounds and an in-ground pool when staying in-season. I would love to come back in the late spring to more fully enjoy these lovely surroundings. This B&B is on the market, so not sure once sold if the new owners will keep it as a B&B, but I hope so!
This is the best Bed and Breakfast I have ever stayed at. From the fabulous hosts to the best breakfast in town. The old time feel, is what everyone needs in their life. This little Jem is unfortunately on the market and me and my man will hate to see them go!! Oh, did I mention DeVona made a Birthday/Anniversary Lemon blueberry cake for another couple and my man!! Who makes the best bacon, Steve does. Just simply an amazing couple and a beautiful home. Thanks for making our stay feel like home.
Stayed her for 4 nights while exploring the Bourbon Trail. Our room and private bath were clean, and comfortable. The breakfasts were absolutely amazing - I asked for several recipes because it was all so good. The hosts were kind and helpful, and had great stories to share. We enjoyed our stay so much, and were sad to learn the owners are in the process of selling! Glad we got the chance to stay here 🙂
Absolutely gorgeous house on the outskirts of Louisville. Absolutely beautiful, and cozy accommodations. The owners are simply great people. I can’t say enough great things about my stay here.
Excellent B&B! Perfect spot for exploring the Louisville region. The house is a wonderful blend of authentically historic, with modern convenience and comfort. Very comfortable bed, great shower, central AC. Very quiet for an old home… we did not hear the other guests or house noise from our room. Breakfasts were delicious and homemade, with local specialties. So much attention to detail… ice machine, drink glasses, stocked mini fridge with water and soda, and snacks.
My husband and I celebrated our anniversary by visiting the Kentucky Bourbon Trail, and 1840 Tucker House was the perfect inn. The room was spacious and comfortable; the breakfasts were delicious and plentiful; the hosts, Steve and Devona, were friendly and welcoming. I have complicated food allergies, and they managed them perfectly. I cannot recommend this B&B highly enough.
