Muy buena escuela . Muy completa
I’m currently in my fifth week out of eight, and I cannot say how much I have enjoyed this school! The instructors are amazing and truly have your best interest at heart, they love to answer almost any question you have and never make you feel behind or bad about your work. This school is not for the weary, but thats part of the reason it’s such a great school. If you are willing to work hard and truly master your craft this school is for you!
I recently finished up at this school and let me just say I wish I had picked a different school. You are lucky if you get more than 4 hooves a week. They are clearly only concerned about money because its an overwhelming amount of students in and out and the same with the horses. And no one is going to send their good horses to a horseshoeing school so you get stuck with a lot of really bad ones. I didn't take the bad reviews on here seriously and thought I would give them the benefit of the doubt but sadly I was let down. Most of the bad reviews are unfortunately true. The reason there are so many good reviews is because they have this sign posted in the dining room. In my opinion it is a completely unethical way to do business. Parents are trusting that this is a good place to send their children but they can't even be honest. I was lied to about so much while attending along with other students. I worked my tail off while a few others did practically nothing yet somehow they were still handed a certificate. They will also try their hardest to keep from refunding you your money once you call them out. I finished begrudgingly but have found that I have learned much more in an apprenticeship and from other farriers around my area.
This was my first time to take a horse to Oklahoma horseshoeing school & wow! Was I impressed 😃 I just bought my horse last week knowing he had some issues & would need correction. They took such care, thought & knowledge making me feel secure in my choice in choosing them to take care of my horse. To watch the foraging work is so impressive. They have a client for life!!! The instructor & students are very respectful of the horse & very patient. Thank you !!!!!
I have spent the last three months learning how to shoe horses and how to forge and shape keg shoes. The instructors Brian Reynolds, Brian Clemmer, and Erica Burton. They have shared knowledge and personal experiences in this trade. I have learned much from each of them. They keep you from getting discouraged while you’re learning and will always do their best to answer all the questions that you may have. It was a privilege to learn under every single one of them. I am glad I got to spend my last three months learning from them. Thank you to ms. Phyllis for making breakfast and lunches and bringing a little bit of home to all the students.
I came to this school only knowing how to pick a horses foot out prior to riding. Currently in my 9th week and this school loads your brain with knowledge in the span of 3 months. Great instructors, great teaching methods, and a great environment.
WARNING: I have been here and have seen some of the horses that come through. There is a big mix of handled and mannered/unhandled horses. That gives students an array of experience...but be warned that certain instructors ABUSE THESE HORSES. They are kicked and hit if they act out and staff is REPRIMANDED or FIRED if they speak out against abuse. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND. THESE STUDENTS AND HORSES DESERVE BETTER!! Speak to a student if you don't believe me. Questionable admin practices as well.
