Stopped in to buy a birthday gift, I've lived in New Britain for 10+ years and have either driven by or heard about this place numerous times. There was only one other customer, on their way out, when I arrived. The owner was excellent, I told him what I was looking for + price range and after browsing for less than 5 minutes we had found the perfect bracelet. Quick, smooth transaction, and gift wrapping was included, very well done, you can tell he's mastered that aspect. Overall great experience, I will def be back for more, very nice, great deal, one of a kind service. 10/10 - Highly recommended, will be going back whenever I need to buy a gift or even shopping for myself.

The chain I received after the repair is not the one I originally brought in. I have noticed a difference in its weight. My 14k gold chain is more than two decades old, and it seems to have been exchanged without any notification of this change. I feel that I have been deceived. The individual took my pink receipt and stated that it was company policy. I would advise against supporting this business.

Polumbo's Jewelers are a wonderful place to shop for your jewelry needs. I've had my watches adjusted to size many times, I've taken several of them there for adjusting (sizing). If I needed more adjusting to my watches, it's at no cost. My friend has purchased a couple of necklaces and is very pleased with them. I just purchased a necklace here as well and I was floored by the price. Both, Fred and Dana are very pleasant and customer service is very attentive, knowledgeable. No pressure to buy anything, just very nice, laid back customer service. Prices are wonderful. From what I understand, you could have your jewelry custom made as well. Thank you Fred & Dana!

Went in today with a 50 yr old Omega Seamaster that was running slow. I spoke with Fred and after a looking at it for a few minutes was able to correct it. It was such a simple fix he didn't even charge me. I definitely would recommend him. Most people would look at the watch and know they could charge whatever they wanted.

We have been going to Polumbo’s for years. They have cleaned my wedding rings and have always been the go-to place for a Valentine’s Day or "just because" special necklace. The minute you walk inside you are treated like family. Particularly of note is their full-service capacity. My daughter’s have taken a liking to Tiffany’s charms. However, Tiffany’s does shoddy engraving work. Even the hand-engraving disappoints. My husband suggested using Polumbo’s to engrave and they are the ONLY place that I trust to do an excellent engraving job. Truly a master skill and craft of a jeweler. I think it speaks volumes of the traditional skill and touch of this business that I trust them the most to do engravings (even over the very manufacturers of Tiffany’s). I have also purchased my children’s First Holy Communion crosses from Polumbo’s. They have the highest quality around. I was also surprised to see a beautiful selection of silver hoop earrings. One I purchased, while picking-up my engraving. Polumbo’s is more than just a jewelry store, it is part of the very fabric of New Britain. I urge you to stop on by. It will become a frequented spot, once you do.

Oh my gosh, been going there for decades! Fred is wonderful and so is his daughter, and the very cute Granddaughter! Reasonable and friendly... down to earth.
