Horsepower Therapeutic Learning

Horsepower is an amazing place with beautiful horses dedicated to a great cause. They provide vital therapeutic options for veterans and others in need through equine therapy, incorporating the healing power of these majestic animals. During my visit, Amber provided a personal tour of the facility. Her attention to every detail clearly demonstrated both her extensive knowledge and her deep love for the horses.

The whole team of people and volunteers that make Horsepower run (including the 🐎🐴 horses) are incredible. I was fortunate enough to volunteer the week of one of their big events and it was awe-inspiring. They provide an amazing service to kids, families, and adults who are differently abled. They also have ♿ handicap accessible 🚻 restrooms and features to make it even easier to participate.

Our great niece has been getting therapy here for years. It is a great place with great people!

These folks are AWESOME, they are competent, patient, informative and offer a great balance between communication and action, just enough of both for us to get the concepts and let them sink in. Maybe one day i can become a horse whisperer like Mike! Non verbal communication is powerful - in all directions. Learn to be intentional and purposeful. Super great support staff. And WOW those horses are smart.

The staff and volunteers were great with the children from the Guilford County Sherrifs department Junior Deputy group! The children all had a great time and learned how to approach, pet, groom and ride the horses!

Horsepower is a huge ranch in High Point. Their staff is really knowledgeable, helpful and very friendly. The ranch is pretty much state of the art. They conduct a therapeutic horseback riding program for special needs kids. They have a ramp and lift for assisting wheelchair-bound kids mount the horses. They even have a sensory toy bin for autistic kids.

I currently volunteer as a sidewalker. This organization is amazing, and making miracles happen everyday!
