Perfect Pony Riding Academy

Whitney is the most talented trainer. We have worked with her for years and appreciate her technique and approach. Our daughter’s skills improve with each lesson. Whitney goes above and beyond to help her achieve her riding goals!

My usually fearful and apprehensive 6 year old daughter had her first lesson today and she is over the moon with pride and excitement. I was so impressed how Whitney had her interact.. feed, walk, wash and simply spend time with the horses to build trust on her own time and level. By the end of the lesson she wanted to ride rather than be pushed to as I had anticipated! I am grateful for all the patience and expertise!! she’s already asked when she can go back

If you’re looking for an equestrian instructor with a passion for teaching and horses, Whitney is the instructor for you. From the beginning, it was clear how deeply Whitney cared about my daughter’s progress, safety, and confidence, and she continues to do so. One of the most remarkable aspects of Whitney’s training is how she goes above and beyond to deliver the instruction and care to meet the needs and aspirations of my daughter. In addition to riding instruction, Whitney takes the time to teach her students about proper horse maintenance, find the right equipment, and help locate the right horse. My daughter has not only progressed significantly as a rider under Whitney’s instruction but has also learned to care for and tack a horse. All of this has really boosted my daughter’s overall confidence. I highly recommend Whitney for anyone wanting to improve their riding and deepen their connection to, and knowledge of, horses. She makes riding a very special experience.

Whitney Roy is an exceptional horse riding instructor and has been working with my daughter over the past three years. Whitney’s approach combines patience, encouragement, and a deep knowledge of riding and horsemanship. She fosters a safe, supportive environment that has helped my daughter build both skill and confidence in the saddle. Whitney tailors her teaching to fit her students' needs and goals, always focusing on strong fundamentals. We’re incredibly grateful for Whitney's dedication, and I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a talented and compassionate riding instructor.

My granddaughter, who is now 12, started riding with Whitney Roy a year and a half ago. Her only prior experience on a horse was limited western riding while visiting in Texas. Watching her progress under Whitney’s tutelage has been amazing! This experience has helped with her posture, her discipline and her overall outlook on life. I cannot say enough nice things about Whitney and her Pony Riding Academy and would highly recommend her program to anyone.

Whitney is by far the best trainer we have worked with. My daughter adores her, and her skill sets have progressed so quickly since working with Whitney. Whitney’s passion for riding and her horses and ponies is contagious, and we are so happy she’s staying local.

Whitney and her horse Scotty are amazing! Whitney has been incredibly patient, accommodating and empathetic in teaching my two kids to ride. She has gone out of her way to make my daughter feel comfortable and included in the horseback riding community — introducing her to other riders and helping her conquer her anxiety. The barn is also great — right next to a riding trail with amazing views.
