Son Rise Ranch

I have loved Son Rise Ranch for 25 years. As a child, I had the privilege of learning to ride here under Pam’s guidance, and now, years later, my daughter is taking the same lessons I did. Pam’s mission—to create a haven for youth—is not just admirable; it’s woven into everything she does. She has the heart of a saint, and it shows in every aspect of Son Rise Ranch. More than just a place to learn riding techniques, horse science, and communication skills, Son Rise Ranch fosters inclusivity, community, and connection. Here, my daughter isn’t just becoming a better rider—she’s learning empathy, responsibility, and care. There’s truly nowhere else I’d rather have her riding.

We have been very pleased. This is not a corporate style feel. It is a "ma and pa" type of place with a couple different pricing structures that are reasonable. Owner is *incredibly* knowledgeable and does quite a good job of teaching the kids about horses and responsibilities around the stable. The pricing we chose included the ability to change your lesson day with advanced notice, which for our busy schedule. Son regularly attends from 5-8pm on Wednesday's.

It’s a great ranch I’ve been going for almost two years the horses are amazing and the instructor miss Pam is extremely nice and keeps everyone safe while riding

There is only one horse available for lessons so the kids have to take turns to ride. You might get less than 10 mins on a horse for a 1 hour lesson. Also they charged by "program" so they did not offer make up lesson even when the coach cancelled the lesson for personal reason. Good for young kids who wanted to try riding and petting animals for one time but perhaps not for serious long term riders.

Pam was nothing but nice with my experience here in covid, though I believe there was little to no riding time to be labeled as a horse camp.

Pam is an amazing lady. She has done so much for my daughter and taught her so much. She teaches the kids not only how to ride, but also how to take care of the horses. She spends endless hours taking the kids on field trips, campouts, fairs, parades, and amazing summer camps. I would highly reccomend this amazing woman and her camp! Thank you Pam!
