Spark Equestrian Academy

We had such high hopes for this place. It was nice. The horses were friendly and it was a nice calm environment however, I felt like the people there to teach did not care too much for the riders. They seemed annoyed and were involved as little as possible in the so-called teaching. We felt like an inconvenience being there. They rarely even spoke w us while we walked the riders around and the "teachers" would just stand in the corner looking bored. Giving more stars due to the horses not the people

I took the horsemanship workshop with Linda and it was a perfect re-introduction to being with horses as an adult. I really loved the ethos that the horse comes first and that by learning to first understand body language and connect with your horse, you can create a beautiful foundation of trust and clear communication! It changed the way I see and understand horses and deepened my appreciation for their intelligence and sweetness. By the end of the workshop my new friend was following my lead without me even needing to hold onto the rope! Such a cool way to experience being with horses. Very healing. You can tell the whole facility is top notch and very welcoming to beginners, helping to bridge the gap of city folk & horse folk, which can be intimidating if you’re brand new in that world. Loved it!

My girls did one of the day camps here when they had a day off of school and they absolutely loved it. They talked about it for hours after they got home and really enjoyed their time learning how to groom and care for horses and riding them! They really loved their Little pony Texas! The experience signing up and getting them registered was super easy and I would definitely recommend Spark to anyone looking for a horse camp!.

Highly organized and safe environment for learning English horsemanship and riding. The horses are well cared for and the instructors are experienced, attentive, and FUN! The lesson curriculum is planned in advance and organized intentionally by skill level. Class sizes are small!

From day one, their professional and knowledgeable instructors teach proper safety, handling, and horsemanship through a comprehensive and structured curriculum; from the basics of grooming, saddling, and bridling to mounting, steering, and trotting.

My eight year old daughter has had a great experience at Spark Equestrian Academy! This is her first year participating and it definitely won’t be the last. The program is organized and professional. My daughter has learned so much about riding and caring for horses. The horses are well trained and easy to work with for her as a beginner. Her teacher takes great care to teach safety and responsibility. These classes have been a great addition to our lives. I wish I was taking the classes too!

Spark Equestrian is a fantastic barn and riding academy! Horses are happy and well cared for, facilities are excellent, and the instructors are wonderful. The people are all laid back and welcoming, low pressure, fun atmosphere, but also the instructors will help you advance your riding a far as you want to go. I've been riding here about a year and so happy I landed at Spark for my new barn home.
