Blue Roan Farm

If I could give Blue Roan Farm six stars, I would. We have boarded here for several months, and our horses receive exceptional care. The new owner, Katie, and the whole team are amazing. They made numerous adjustments to ensure our horses were comfortable, including fencing in a larger turn-out pasture, rotating turn-outs to find the right fit, and several feeding changes. When one of our horses had a significant injury, the team went above and beyond. They helped with stall rest, twice-daily medications, and daily check-ins, allowing me to focus on her recovery without needing to be present 24/7. Katie is incredibly helpful and involved. The entire staff is friendly and *truly* cares about the horses. In the time we have been here, they have made many improvements to the facilities, like a new outdoor arena, new footing for the round pen, and additional turn-outs. It is a quiet place, and the other boarders are relaxed and friendly. Blue Roan Farm is a hidden gem, and we couldn’t be happier here.

I've been boarding my horse here since April. She's settled in really well and loves her new home. There's an indoor and outdoor arena, and good size fields for daily turn out. The staff and other boarders are all really friendly and helpful.

My daughter has been taking lessons from Katie for years. Katie is a great teacher. My daughter loves riding and learning about horse care. Blue Roan Farm is great place with great people. 5 stars isn’t enough!

Absolutely LOVE this barn. My horses and I are so happy here! It's been under new ownership for the past year and they have made so many wonderful improvements! Huge outdoor and indoor, round pen, great people, attentive care with all the details, blanketing, fly spray and masks, daily turn out, 3 meals per day and more! Highly recommend and I am super picky!

Getting to know Mary Anne and Craig and learn about their techniques and approach to interaction with horses has been a pleasure. They have adapted the classical principles of riding into a modern program that recognizes the horse's well-being and comfort as paramount. They work at enhancing the communication between rider and horse, which reduces confusion and tension in the horses... and makes riding more fun for riders! Their barn is laid back and the horses spend as much time outside as possible. They also host educational events and put on clinics around the globe - they are sought after clinicians in Sweden especially. I recommend them in any respect, even if just for an engaging conversation on horsemanship!

I can honestly say this place feels like home. It’s the absolute best riding school I’ve ever attended.
