Chamounix Equestrian Center

So glad to have visited the Chamounix Equestrian Center. It is so much more than just a stable; it’s a pillar of the community. The facility is absolutely beautiful and incredibly well-maintained, but what really stands out is their mission. They are doing wonderful work by bringing equestrian sports to the city and providing life-changing programs for local youth. It’s rare to find a place that balances top-tier equine care with such a massive heart for people. Can’t wait to volunteer and get involved with the cause when I visit Philly.

Whenever we hike at West Fairmount Park, we like to stop by here. The horses are well-cared for and are fun to watch. They usually have a resident cat checking out the visitors. We've seen riding classes for youth, adults practicing and families enjoying the facility.

I like the location, every year I go out there just to see the horses. But from reading the comments, I also noticed at these Horse Stables they have very unhappy people. I can't believe these are same people that say they love horses. 🥺

Lots of horsey goodness. This is a nice place to take family or friends to see the horses and enjoy the open space.

It appears that what looks like new "state of the art" stables are not fully completed. Therefore visitors can only see horses outside at certain times. It looks really nice from outside!

It’s clear from other reviews that people simply don’t know how to act. The horses are not starving or beaten now, if they ever were. Proper use of a riding crop does not hurt them. Trying to get employees of a business that isn’t even open to do work for you, is just never going to happen anywhere and you wouldn’t expect that of another business, so why here? It is rude to show up when they were closed instead of making a phone call during opening hours. Also if your child is going to have a severe reaction to being around common domestic animals, you should already know that before you give someone a check. I don’t blame them for keeping your money. This was not an unpredictable medical incident.

I WAS gonna check this place out. I understand some ppl lie or may exaggerate about unpleasant businesses. But when u keep hearing the same thing from different ppl most of the time it's true. It keeps being said that the owner is rude. And Im not 1 to tolerate those types. So 4 that reason alone i will b going somewhere else
