Heather and Andres are amazing. Their care of the horses is top notch, and they are truly dedicated to systematically developing both horse and rider. Their team of assistants are knowledgable, reliable and fun to be around. The facility is outstanding and the atmosphere is welcoming and comfortable. Happy horses and happy riders!

Golden Gate Equestrian welcomed me with open arms and created a program tailored perfectly to my goals. Heather and Andres are incredible instructors, their teaching style is positive, effective, and supportive. Beyond teaching, they created a wonderful and caring environment for all clients! They have hosted special barn events for us that are so much fun. I love going to shows because clients at GGE cheer for our other riders whether it’s the small hunters or the Grand Prix ring. It truly feels like a team even though we do different disciplines! I’ve never gotten that experience anywhere else. I love the flexibility they offer, especially with in-barn leasing, and the fact that there’s no pressure to show (but plenty of encouragement if you want to join the show team). For only being here for a year, the amount of progress I’ve gained as a rider has been immense and I feel much more confident in the saddle. Heather and Andres are truly horse first and it’s shown based off of the brand new facility they created with Melody Oak Farm. It’s a paradise for any horse and rider! The barn caters to disciplines beyond Hunter Jumpers as there are dressage riders and riders either eventing background. As someone interested in H/J and Dressage, it’s rare to find a program that caters to multiple disciplines so well. I couldn’t imagine being anywhere else!

My tween daughter is growing by leaps and bounds under the guidance of Heather and Andres. The barn community is fantastic, kind, supportive, and drama free. The horses are all incredibly well cared for and well trained. The facility is gorgeous with a lovely large covered arena and a world class outdoor arena. This is the perfect program for a young rider who has outgrown a lesson barn and wants to grow as a rider! We love that the teaching focuses on both dressage/flat work as well as jumping and allows for a rider to really form correct biomechanics. Highly recommend GGE for juniors and adults alike!

When looking for a trainer for your kid, you beg the universe to bring you someone with all the right skills, talents, personality traits, and experience. But you also look for the MAGIC. Heather and Andres know how to keep the magic in the sport. They have a deep love for horses, and a deep love for sharing their passion with others. If you want a cut throat competitive show barn where everyone is out for themselves, don’t come here. At GGE, we get to come as we are, and the smiles on my kids’ faces tell the whole story. Heather and Andres know just how much to push my girls- and sometimes how to just let the horse be the teacher. They know that riding is a big metaphor for life, and what you learn in the saddle helps you get through all the other stumbling blocks in life. Thank you, GGE, for welcoming us to your family two years ago- and for finding us a sweet unicorn! Thank you for loving all your furry and non-furry kids so much. ❤️

We couldn’t be happier with our move to Golden Gate Equestrian. My daughter has learned so much from Heather and Andres, both in and out of the saddle, and grown exponentially as a rider and horse person. All the people at GGE are incredibly friendly, staff and students, and have an amazing community. They truly care about the health and well-being of all their horses. We couldn’t recommend GGE more.

I started riding with GGE back in Nov 2023 after a long break from showing as a junior hunter in 2006. Starting over now as an adult, I couldn’t have found better trainers than Heather and Andres. They always put what’s best for horse and rider first, and have really helped me in my training to build my confidence and fall back in love with the sport. They are so flexible with training, and offer leases, half leases, selling/buying support, and a variety of training packages- so there’s a recipe for success for anyone at any level. I have forgotten so much over the last twenty years and they have both been so patient and kind in helping me relearn all the aspects of horsemanship. That on top of the supportive and welcoming community at GGE has made it the perfect place to rejoin the horse world!

I can't say enough good things about GGE. Heather and Andres have created a training program that builds real connection between horse and rider. Heather is an intuitive dressage trainer, taking the time to understand each horse and what they need to be balanced and happy. Andres is a truly fabulous jumping trainer. He is patient with the horses and meets each of his riders where they are. My daughter and her hunter have been with GGE for five years and have become a confident, talented team. Heather recently helped me find the perfect young horse and we are already having success in the show ring. The barn community is fun, kind and supportive. Best barn around.
