Absolutely amazing staff, and hands on owner. They take such pride in everything they do and honestly care about each individual horse, and rider. I’ve been with them now a few months and I cannot stop singing their praises. Clean, well lit, lovely people, knowledgeable, always willing to help you out. I could not have found a better place for my big guy.

When our daughter’s trainers were forced to move out of Freedom Woods in May, there was no question that our four horses had to go with them as the people left at the barn are not qualified to care for show horses or train riders beyond beginners. If you want a place that will care for and train your horse properly and teach proper riding skills, this is not the place to go.

Rode and kept horses here for 9+ years with my trainers who are exceptional humans and horse people. Sadly they had to move out under difficult circumstances in May and it took less than 48 hours for one of the remaining horse to die. As a lifelong equestrian I strongly recommend staying far away.

We have been coming to Freedom Woods for the past 10 years, during which time my daughter has consistently participated in hippotherapy. Over the course of a decade, we have had only three different instructors—an indication of the program's stability and dedication, which we greatly appreciated. Unfortunately, I was recently informed that the ownership has decided to take the stables in a new direction, resulting in the abrupt termination of all staff and the complete discontinuation of services. This sudden and uncommunicated change is deeply disappointing and reflects a lack of professionalism in how both employees and long-time patrons have been treated. I am especially concerned for the dedicated staff who have lost their positions without proper notice, as well as for the horses, who now require immediate relocation and care. For families like mine, who have invested years into this program, the loss is truly heartbreaking. My daughter has loved horses since the age of two, and finding a new, comparable facility nearby will be a significant challenge.

I grew up riding here for many years (5+ years) as a client/student with Freedom Woods. Years later, I tried to reach out multiple times about starting up lessons with them again and I got no response. I found a different spot to ride but that was disappointing!

Have tried about 5 attempts to inquire about riding lessons for my daughter. I left 3 vmails and went in person x 2 and even filled out their paperwork. No answer/response. I rode there as a child and wanted to get my daughter started. Will look elsewhere.
