Monday, 2/23, I had an extremely disappointing and unprofessional experience with whoever answers the phone for RGV Equestrians at Hildreth Farms. Last December on, 12/4/25, I called to inquire about horse lessons for my daughter. A man answered and told me to contact the trainer, Cinthia, to schedule. He gave me her number and I reached out right away. We exchanged messages trying to coordinate a date, but the conversation eventually stopped without confirmation. I assumed they were busy with the holidays and so I left it alone. Fast forward on 2/12, I reached out to Cinthia again. This time we were able to schedule her rider evaluation on Friday, 2/20. After the lesson, Cinthia explained that she could join the pony club but would get back to me. Cinthia also explained the progression program for riders (bareback, English riding, and western). I thought, yesss, I found the most perfect spot! The following day, I messaged her to ask what days would work moving forward so I could plan my daughter’s March schedule around the horse lessons. I received no response. I followed up again Sunday. Still no response. Back to Monday, 2/23, I decided to call the main number again for help and clarity. The same man I spoke with in December answered the phone by saying, "Yes, Crystal, what do you want?" I was honestly confused and asked who I was speaking with to make sure I had the correct number. He repeated, "Crystal, what do you want?" When I asked again who it was, he hung up on me. I called back, because again, I was simply just trying to schedule lessons for my child. He again answered in an irritated tone asking what I wanted. When I explained I had been trying to reach the trainer, and why in the world was he talking to me like that, he then said maybe there was a "miscommunication" and claimed it showed I had been calling repeatedly (which was not the case. I had only called twice, including the call where he hung up). At this point I wanted to cry out of frustration. I was honestly just so shocked and confused like i said. He then told me to message Cinthia again and said he would message her as well and that I should tell her he told her to respond. When I asked for his name again, he responded with "Hildreth Farms." A short time later I received a text from Cinthia stating they are closed Sundays and Mondays and would get back to me the next morning. (I messaged on Saturday) As of today, Friday, 2/27, I still have not received any follow up. This entire situation could have been handled professionally with simple communication. No customer or potential client should be spoken to in that manner for trying to schedule services that are actively advertised on their social media. Overall, I am disappointed. We had such high hopes since it came highly recommended. The RGV doesn’t offer many options to begin with, and we were really hoping this would be a wonderful fit. Unfortunately, it clearly was not.

On 2/23/26 I messaged Cinthia trainer at RGV Equestrian to get information on their schedules and prices. I was told they start with a rider evaluation which cost $45. I accepted, took the evaluation, told I was fit for them to train me, and we booked a weekly schedule for 1:1 PRIVATE LESSONS at a cost of $45 *Confirmed private lessons 1:1 on Whatsapp chat I have the conversation *. My first lessons was with a little girl probably around 8-9 years. My second and third lesson was with a group of people, 2 of which were her kids, and around 3-4 more people aside from them. I would place my phone on a bench they had outside and record MYSELF because it was a way of me looking at how I was doing and my progress, also to have memories of what Im doing (riding horses is very special to me and wanted to have pics and vids to show my family). On my fourth lesson, she mentions to me I cant record because someone's Mom complained about seeing my phone. I told her I was paying for private lessons that she shouldn't even be here, she responded with "No, private lessons are $50" which was something she made up then and there to not look stupid in front of me- Remember I have the message she sent me where she stated private lessons are $45. After that, I still decided to continue the "group lessons", she tells me she will send me invoice-never did. I show up the next week I was scheduled, she said lessons were cancelled due to weather. Not one call or text to inform me of that, and on top of that she talks to me with and attitude saying *but you cant record on your phone you know that right*- LOL I can't believe I was dumb enough to go back after the shit she pulled. I do not mind paying ANY amount of money, what was incredible to me is that she lied to my face, talked to me like if I was a little girl (Im 27) and was completely dishonest and shady. She is extremely unprofessional! Who does that? I have a ranch and horses out of state, and I wanted to buy a horse or two and start boarding there with here- thank God I didn't and tried them out first. I do not recommend this place at all, dishonest, unprofessional and very much unethical. I wish I had better things to say- sadly I don't.
