Cavalry Ranch

Chaparral Ranch is a great place to get a lesson and/or go on a horseback ride. My husband and I took a lesson. I'm so glad we did! There were 3 people taking the lesson at the same time. Everyone who worked there was awesome. My horse decided she was going to follow another horse, eat every time there was a bush nearby, and just ignore me. I became frustrated, of course. The instructors were so wonderful. They let me stay after the others left the ring so my horse would behave for me. (She felt my frustration, which hadn't helped.) Once we were alone, she was terrific. They made certain I left there with a very positive experience. I was so impressed with the instructor-- she gave me pep talks and helped me realize I could actually do this. And that everyone has days they get frustrated. Whew. I felt like a rider when I left there. Thank you, Kristin, especially, for giving me the attention necessary. You are wonderful at what you do!

Chaparral Ranch not only offers an experience but the opportunity to create great core memories. It is a small slice of heaven in the middle of Marina. Everyone is so welcoming and the horses are so well behaved. If you truly want to disconnect from the fast pace of everyday life, this is the place to visit!

Found this hidden little gem while driving through Marina Dunes. Chaparral Ranch is a great place to get aquatinted with horses. Good customer service, friendly staff, guaranteed to have an amazing experience.

I visited Chaparral a couple times for a trail ride and to spend time with the horses. I felt very welcome and found the horses to all have such sweet and great personalities. Doug and Josh were wonderful and helpful guides. I can't wait to visit again when I'm back in town.

We came here with my 3.5yo and had a great experience. Megan was so kind and good with kids, and my daughter got a chance to groom and ride a miniature pony named Midnight. Such a great experience for little ones!

Our son Jacob really enjoyed his lesson. Doug was very patient and very knowledgeable and made us feel at ease. We drove up out of curiosity and were rewarded with great customer service and a beautiful experience for our 8 year old son. We bought an initial pack of four lessons and are hoping our son's interest continues. He was very excited to ride, and even more excited to return to do it again! Thank you very much!!!

Doug, (owner operator) was a very patient and informative guide for our party of 4 beginner riders. Excellent experience. Strongly recommend!!!
