Eagle Point Equestrian

Eagle Point Equestrian is the most peaceful barn for my mare. The moment my horse stepped on property, she instantly became more calm and relaxed (says a lot when you have a hotter horse). Unlike other performance facilities in the area, there’s a herd-like atmosphere for our horses and I saw an immediate change in her. She also lives in an oversized paddock/stall known as a "quad" on property and has plenty of room to roam around and be a horse which is hard to come by. The arena footing is best in class and is extremely well maintained. And although not covered, we rarely ever get rained out with the amazing drainage and non-slippery surface. The owner, Gundi, is also the most thoughtful barn owner / operator. Not only an accomplished rider herself that can provide helpful tips, but she also truly cares about the health and wellbeing of our horses. Nothing is off the table when you need support with your horse whether it be guidance on feeding or scheduling vet / wellness appointments. Truly a special barn for horses and riders alike.

A lot of facilities talk about being a place with no drama, EPE delivers it. It’s a warm welcoming place day in and day out. My horse is happy and relaxed because he’s treated like a valued member of the EPE family. I don’t worry about him when I’m not there because I know he’ll be cared for with kindness, competence and an eye for detail. As an owner/rider, my preferences are accommodated and I feel like a valued member of the team too. The community here is supportive, friendly and fun to be part of. Gundi really has built something special here at Eagle Point Equestrian.

I cannot say enough amazing things about Eagle Point. The facilities are not only stunning, but incredibly functional and horse-friendly. Every single thing is thought-out and deliberately planned for convenience and safety. Even better than that is the level of care and attention to every individual horse's care. Gundi takes special care in making sure every horse's needs are met and goes above and beyond any other barn I've ever been at (and I've been at many over the years!). EPE has every convenience of a boarding barn with the care and attention of a small private facility. It is the 5-star experience for both horse and rider!

My time at Eagle Point Equestrian was truly a dream - the facility, the amenities, the way the barn was managed - it was all amazing. My horse was so very happy during his time there. Now, I live in New Hampshire, and I look back on my days at EPE with so much appreciation and a longing to return. My horse was so well cared for every day and when I had to be gone for lengths of time and could not see him, I NEVER WORRIED about his care. I knew he was always getting everything he needed -- his grain, hay, any meds, loving scratches and attention -- he was treated like royalty.

Hands down the best facility and care available! I had my horse at EPE for two years and he received exceptional care including hay and grain multiple times a day, blanketing, night check, and more. I travel frequently (often for a week plus at a time) and I never worried about my horse while I was gone. Not only is the care and management excellent, the facility is beautiful and highly functional... top of the line footing, great drainage, lots of ventilation, safe and secure round pen, etc. I cannot say enough good things about EPE. It was the most beautiful and safe facility for me and my horse and I am feel very grateful for my time there <3

Boarding at EPE has been one of the best decisions I’ve made for my two horses. From the moment you step onto the property, you can feel how intentionally everything is laid out. Every detail — the oversized tack‑up area, the spotless, rodent‑free grain room, the cozy sitting area, even the fully stocked tack‑cleaning station — reflects a level of care and thoughtfulness that makes the place feel like your own equestrian home. The care is truly hands‑on. I get regular updates that give me complete peace of mind, and it’s clear that my horses aren't just being looked after — they are genuinely known and understood. That alone is priceless. The atmosphere at the barn is incredibly peaceful. No matter where you stand, there’s a beautiful view, and it makes every visit something I look forward to. The horses enjoy long, relaxed turnouts where they can roll, graze, and socialize safely. Their feeding schedule is so consistent and well‑managed that you could honestly set your watch to it. The arena footing is fantastic, and the specialized drainage system is unlike anything I’ve seen. Weather‑related downtime is almost nonexistent, which has been such a gift. And Gundi — the owner — is exceptional. She’s not only an accomplished rider, but her depth of knowledge and genuine passion for horse care shows in everything she does. Whether you’re a competitive rider or someone who simply loves spending time in the saddle, every horse and rider at EPE receives the same level of respect, attention, and individualized care. It’s a place where excellence is the norm, and where both horses and humans truly thrive.

I feel fortunate to have boarded my beloved mare at Eagle Point Equestrian. Situated in the middle of rolling hills and acres of vines in the wine country of Livermore, this beautiful facility offers everything both horse and rider could need. My very territorial mare had a large paddock with a three sided run-in stall, that gave her lots of room to play and even socialize a bit, but still have her "privacy" when needed. The paddocks are set up as "Quads" so the horses only share one fence line with another horse - amazing and safe! They also feature a sand pit to enjoy a good sun-bath or roll. Eagle Point is perfectly designed with all the right high-end amenities: hot and cold water wash racks, rodent proof feed room, blanket storage room, gorgeous tack room, kitchen and lounge areas. The staff is knowledgeable and helpful. Looking for a ring with great footing and size? EPE's ring has fabulous all-weather footing, is large and has a stunning view with spectacular sunsets. There are additional turnout paddocks, as well as a fabulous large covered round pen. Best of all, the owner and manager, Gundi Younger, is a passionate horsewoman treating both the retirees and show horses with equal time and attention to their wellbeing. Gundi is an accomplished Grand Prix dressage rider so is keenly aware of the smallest details and care performance horses need on a daily basis. She has a very watchful eye and gets to know each horse and their normal behaviors so that when things go amiss, she is on the scene immediately.
