Absolutely incredible experience from start to finish. This horse riding school goes above and beyond in every way. The instructors are knowledgeable, patient, and genuinely passionate about both teaching and the well-being of the horses. Whether you’re a complete beginner or an experienced rider, they meet you exactly where you are and help you build confidence safely and correctly. The horses are exceptionally well cared for—calm, responsive, and clearly loved. The facility is clean, organized, and welcoming, which immediately puts you at ease. You can tell this is a place built on respect, education, and a true love for horsemanship. Every lesson feels intentional and encouraging, and the environment is supportive rather than intimidating. I left each session feeling more confident, empowered, and connected—not just to riding, but to the horses themselves. I highly recommend this school to anyone looking for a top-tier riding experience with heart, integrity, and excellence.

Okay this place is so cute! I love it so much. Haley was so sweet. Very informative and educated.. I know that’s weird to say but it’s actual great to be taught by someone who knows everything about horses. Anyways, it was my first time. I plan on showing. The waiting areas and the farm itself is so freaking cute and homey.

I decided to try horseback riding as a new hobby and booked an Introductory Western Lesson. I've ridden horses before but never had formal training on proper riding tequniques. After I arrived, the instructor (Lindsey) took me on a short golf cart ride to the pasture. We retrieved the horse I'd be learning on. He was perfect for a beginner! Lindsey was amazing. She demonstrated the steps for harnessing, walking, tying, grooming, and tacking up the horse. After showing me the proper steps, I then did these things myself (lots to learn!). Next we were off to the (thankfully) covered riding area. I learned & practiced cues and form for walking, turning and posting trot. I had so much fun! One of the best parts was that I felt I could completely trust the horse Lindsey selected for me. (I've had some negative riding experiences in the past that have made me a little fearful of horses). I could tell she was super passionate about horses and knowledgeable about the ones on property. I look forward to returning for further lessons.

Love this place. It has a lighted covered arena. Plenty of horses so you find one you like. Scheduling /rescheduling is easy - the tech is good. Price is good. Instructors are great. Can’t say enough good things.

I have 2 children in the western program at Trinity River Farm and we love it! Julie is very kind and has a great staff that takes good care of the property and the animals. The kids love the program and look forward to attending every week. Although, that statement is not surprising because most kids would be excited to ride horses but what has been delightfully surprising about the program is Summer. Summer is experienced and extremely informative to both the kids and myself. She is extremely caring with the animals and is absolutely amazing with the kids. She has the patience of a saint and a name that perfectly suits her personality. Her passion for her work shows in everything she does. Her confidence in her craft has been a huge influence on the kids confidence during lessons. She always goes out of her way to make sure the kids are comfortable and safe. We couldn't have asked for a better trainer.

I can’t say enough amazing things about this place! The horses are so well-trained — calm, responsive, and clearly cared for with so much love and expertise. Every ride feels both exciting and safe. Paige is incredible — she knows exactly how to push me to improve while making sure I always feel comfortable, confident, and in control. The facility itself is beautiful and so well kept. There are multiple arenas to choose from, each perfectly maintained, and every space feels clean and thoughtfully organized. Everyone is so kind, welcoming, and encouraging. The atmosphere is so positive, and I always feel confident asking ANYONE a question if I need help. This place truly a little slice of heaven on earth. 🐴💫

Background: I took lessons at TRFEC from November 2023 to June 2024 as a beginner. Overall, I had a deeply disappointing experience at Trinity River Farm and Equestrian Center. From the beginning, it was evident that the horses and students were not given the care and attention they deserved. I leased a horse in the program in December (after riding for one month), and the contract stated I had to purchase my own saddle. Once I did, it was never checked on or off the horse, posing a significant safety risk. My instructor, the facility owner, was more interested in chatting with parents sitting with her in the stands than providing proper instruction. This left me often walking or trotting in circles without guidance during lessons. She only instructed two lessons from the arena with me, following an incident in January where a rider was injured that had her promising to do better. However, this change did not last long, and she quickly reverted to her distanced teaching style. This lack of attention and guidance was incredibly frustrating and unproductive, and I did not progress much as a student here. Additionally, the condition of the horses on the property is alarming. Many of their hooves were cracked and had chunks missing, indicating serious neglect. Even horses who should be retired are still put into the program for jump work. The overall state of the horses' health and living conditions is a cause for concern. Inexperienced riders, such as myself, were oftentimes put onto horses that either had not been trained to be in a lesson program or lacked the mindset to deal with an inexperienced rider. This made for a dangerous situation for both horse and rider, leaving us both at risk. While I was a student there, I was concerned about the center's safety measures. I even saw firsthand that the owner had no measures in place or knew how to react during an emergency where a rider was injured. I cannot, in good conscience, recommend Trinity River Farm and Equestrian Center to anyone seeking a safe, professional, and caring environment for riding lessons. This place is far from what a reputable equestrian center should be.
