I had a great time. This was a trip adjusted for a group of 70yr+ seniors who were not up to long days in the saddle. Our guide was sooo patient and knowledgeable and made every attempt to meet our needs. My horse was VERY responsive and a good worker. The hotel we stayed at was only 9 rooms but had a very nice pool and grounds. The service was spotty but everone was very nice.The only downside was that we were there on Valentine's Day weekend and ran into events scheduled there including loud late night music and shenanigans. Our guide altered the plans so that we were able to avoid the party tho . Best part was that we were able to enjoy both riding and multiple tourist side trips- zipline, snorkel and more

Equitour is the premier equestrian vacation provider. I have ridden with them and everyone I know that has, raves about their rides. They are one of the few programs that actually visits the facilities and it shows. My most recent trip with them to Tuscany was perfect in every way. The hosts, who were accomplished equestrians, the horses...the meals and accommodations...and the off-horse activities were all amazing. And Equitour makes the experience stress-free, safe and everything you could want. I highly recommend their programs.

This is a great company! I have booked many trips with them over the years and they consistently deliver excellent service and have excellent knowledge of every trip that they offer. Other companies are often just a travel agent with no first hand knowledge or information of the trips, the accommodations, the food, the horses and the travel arrangements. Both Biggi and Megan (the inside reps) are rock stars. They even get to know what trips would or would not be a good fit for your riding skills and interests. (last year, Brazil and Ireland, this year Spain and Iceland and next year Tanzania and who knows?) They also help with side trips and transportation arrangements. One thing is certain, they have your back and are committed to you having the ride that YOU want.

Booking with Equitours was truly one of the worst experiences of my life. 19 days before our intended trip, my spouse had a horrible riding accident that required immediate surgery and crippled her for a year and a half. The day after her accident, we contacted Equitours and asked if there was SOME dispensation that could be made given this turn of events. While we understood we could not recoup much of our costs (to be clear and fair - we were under the 30 day window, and understand trip guides need to be paid and horses managed for rider spots) we thought perhaps Equitours would work with us and extend some recompense for SOME part of our trip - a credit, a transfer, someone to take our place - we suggested a seriously discounted rate of 40 or 50% off on their website or social media- any rate to get a little back! Equitours simply posted the trip at a 10% discount once on their Facebook page and then our agent immediately went on vacation, kicked off her OOO, and dropped us since our trip was paid for and that was that. No communication, nor was a a single dime of our trip was refunded, transferred, or credited. Equitours pretty much said "oh well." We will NEVER do an Equitours ride again nor would we recommend this company for their terrible customer service.
