Maplewood Farm

I rode here in college and the facilities and horses of this barn are the best I've ever seen in MA. Unfortunately, one of the main instructors repeatedly made me feel less-than and anxious while I was outside of the ring for normal, human mistakes that any student could make (unless I had a parent accompany me during a lesson, which wasn't often since I was away from home). At times it crossed the line past constructive criticism and I lost my passion I once had for equestrian sports. It seems like their other students are able to grow both in and out of the ring - it wasn't my experience at this establishment, but I hope to find it soon.

My daughter has been riding at Maplewood Farm for several years now and continues to enjoy both the quality of instruction and of the program's lesson horses. She's worked with a number of instructors both in private and group lessons and has been an active participant in the barn's competitive IEA team. Not only has my child become a better rider, but she's grown as a person and has always felt supported and encouraged. The indoor arena and outdoor ring are fantastic, scheduling and billing is organized, and there are enough barn cats for everyone. It's really a wonderful place.

Maplewood Farm is truly a gem! The facilities are beautiful, well-kept, and peaceful—perfect for equestrian training and bonding with the horses. The instructors are knowledgeable, patient, and genuinely passionate about teaching. Each lesson builds confidence and deepens my love for riding. Whether you're a beginner or returning rider, Maplewood Farm offers a supportive and inspiring environment. I always leave feeling uplifted and more connected to both the sport and the animals. Highly recommend!

We couldn’t be happier with our experience at Maplewood! From the very beginning, the staff has been welcoming, professional, and clearly passionate about what they do. Our daughter has had the opportunity to work with a variety of instructors, each bringing their own unique strengths and teaching styles. It's been amazing to see how much she has grown in both skill and confidence. The environment is always clean, organized, and well-maintained, with a clear focus on proper horsemanship and education. Safety and the well-being of both riders and horses are top priorities, which gives us great peace of mind. We truly feel like part of a community here, and we’re so grateful for the positive impact it’s had on our daughter. Highly recommend to any family looking for a high-quality equestrian program!

Maplewood has everything to offer! Great horses, people, training/lessons, and a beautiful facility. I have been riding there for about 11 years and they have been able to cater to every level of riding. The IEA team and college teams they host are great additions as well. I can't recommend Maplewood enough!

Knowledgeable team with attention to detail! The best in the area, they cater to all levels of horsemanship

Maplewood has everything to offer. Lovely community, scenery, facilities, and staff. Maplewood has helped me grow so much as a rider in the past year and a half. The owner and coaches are very encouraging and will always motivate you to reach your goals with low stress. The barn is organized very well and horses are well cared for.
