Leg Up Equine Enterprises LLC

We absolutely adore Tara and the work she had done with our daughters and horses had been amazing. We've had a rough go of it with horses and trainers over the past couple of years and we made Tara aware of that and she has been such a kind, thorough, and gentle teacher for our kids. Our oldest daughter said she loves her because she explains everything and lets her know the "why" for everything. Working with her has been therapeutic and restored a love of horses and riding in our kids who were ready to quit a few months ago before meeting her. Our horses are much happier too. Tara is helping us to understand and communicate with them better which is radically improving our relationship with them. I can't say enough good things about Leg Up Equine!!!

My daughter is a regular at this camp. Tara is easy to work with and adds other activities related to the barn. And kids love it! Our daughter asks every year when this camp is starting. It is her favorite. Being in top of the horse is her favorite, but the other tasks like cleaning stalls makes her feel that she has bigger responsibilities. Great job.

Tara has been working with my daughter for over a year now. My daughter has thoroughly enjoyed working with Tara throughout her time at Leg Up. She has adored her summer camp programs. Tara is wonderful, patient, motivating and we couldn't be happier with our experiences at Leg Up Equine. Our daughter has been learning horsemanship, responsibility and all that is involved in taking care of these amazing creatures. Thank you for all you do!

We’ve had such a wonderful experience with Leg Up Equine! Tara is an incredible instructor, and her passion for horses and teaching truly shines through in everything she does. My daughters absolutely loved their time at summer horse camp. Every day they came home smiling, excited to share what they learned and eager to go back. Tara creates such a welcoming, supportive environment that builds both confidence and connection. We’re so grateful to have found Leg Up Equine and can’t wait to return.

My daughter has done Horse Camp here the past two summers, and it is the highlight of her summer. She has fallen in love with the sweet horses and loves everything the camp has to offer. She learns not only riding skills, but also how to take care of the horses and their stalls. It’s such a great experience! We highly recommend Tara and Leg Up Equine!

I have been riding with Tara for a few months and I would highly recommend Leg Up. I rode as a kid and have wanted to get back into it for years but have struggled to find a place that has lesson horses that isn't crazy expensive. So I was really excited to find Tara and have been really impressed with the love and care she pours into her horses and her students, as well as her expansive knowledge of horses. She does ALL disciplines which is really cool, and has just recently gotten started doing Pony Club. As an adult I have really enjoyed working with her, and I've watched her work with kids and can vouch that she's really great with them. In fact, I recently got my son interested in joining Pony Club so he will be starting in the juniors program soon. Overall this place has great horses and an owner who truly does it for the love of the horses and the sport which is really inspiring.

My two daughters (ages 7 and 9) have been riding with Miss Tara for several months now. They both started nearly as equestrian novices but are making great progress. We love how Tara is teaching them all the aspects related to horses- brushing, cleaning, feeding, care, tacking up, etc. They are getting the full picture and experience in what it means to be around horses. She has quite a few horses and generally lets my girls decide who they want to ride and if they want to ride English, western or bare back. She is kind and knowledgeable and has a ready laugh. You can tell she adores her horses too. They are loved and well cared for. I plan to start lessons with Tara myself because I've become too envious of the experience my kids are getting!
