I've been riding with Kim for over twelve years. She is not only a skilled and experienced horsewoman herself, but is also a brilliant instructor. She offers a safe learning environment for both beginners and more advanced riders, and has wonderful school horses that are well trained and each provide their own learning experience. Riding with Kim has been incredibly rewarding and I could not be more grateful to her for teaching me to ride and take care of horses properly!

Davis Acres is a great place for young riders. When our granddaughter wanted to start riding we immediately said Kim at Davis Acres is the place to go. I have known Kim for quite a while and I know that she is not only a great teacher in the ring but she mentors the riders in horsemanship, barn etiquette and community with the other riders. She is so focused on safety and wellbeing for her riders AND horses. It's not just about the riding. Kim provides a well rounded experience all about horses. I am an adult rider, who went back to riding after a long gap due to a scary experience at a different barn. My daughter, who has been riding with Kim Davis of Davis Acres for 6 years, was sure Kim was the right trainer to help overcome my fear, and she was absolutely right. Kim has been wonderful to me, and she is the very reason I am happily back in the saddle today and I truly enjoy riding. She understood and respected my initial nervousness and always made me feel safe. She has been patient and encouraging. She always knew, before me, when I was ready to try something more advanced, and now I feel comfortable riding both in the ring and on trail rides out in the woods. Kim has a lifetime of experience with horses and teaches true horsemanship. Her horses are happy horses, very well trained, well mannered, and suitable for riders of every level. My children and I have been riding with Kim for 15 years. She is wonderful with children and gives them excellent instruction in horsemanship--both on the horse and around the barn. Kim is also an excellent dog sitter. She has been dog sitting for me for 8 years, and even though we now live 2 hours away, I still take my dog to her when we are traveling. Could not recommend Davis Acres more highly.
