Anja Ibsen Dressage

Anja has been my trainer and my instructor for over a year. I brought my mare to her because, after seeing some of her prior work, I knew she would do a great job getting her restarted after a lengthy rehab. She is a lovely, natural rider that helps the horses she trains work towards their best potential. She has helped me, as a rider, improve and feel more confident. She knows how to listen and to also get you to try a bit harder to get a better result. I can't recommend her any higher!

Anja Ibsen possesses a natural talent and work ethic that are rarely encountered. Her ability to work clearly, effectively, and kindly with horse and rider alike makes her an outstanding trainer. I have had several horses in her training program over the past 8 years. From a PSG warmblood to a 3-year-old Arabian who she started under saddle, Anja has demonstrated her ability to ride, coach, and train while always remaining calm, clear, fair, and supportive. She is exquisitely interested in helping every rider fulfill their unique goals, whether it’s confidently showing in Dressage competitions or safely hacking on the trail. She most recently demonstrated this rare ability when she helped me find the absolutely ideal equine partner. I plan on training with Anja for the rest of my riding career, and I highly recommend her as a trainer!

I ride hunter/jumpers locally and for a long time I have wanted to take a lesson with Anja. Anja and I have known each other for years so when I finally got around to taking a lesson with her a few months back I can confidently say it was worth the wait. Anja is not only an incredibly kind, and compassionate horsewoman but she is a diligent, clear, and concise teacher. I have noticed such a difference is my riding just from one lesson with Anja and I can’t wait to schedule my next.
