My daughter has grown so much as a rider and an individual at BEC. The team is warm and helpful, and we feel like we've found a home. My daughter loves the trainers and the horses (shout out to Peach Pie, Quinn, and Breezy). Thank you, BEC!

I finally found the place I was looking for! Trainer Jane is incredibly kind, supportive, and motivating. I truly enjoyed every moment and felt very comfortable. It was a great experience, and I would definitely recommend this place to everyone

I’ve never ridden horses before and I’ve always been intrigued to take lessons so I figured I’d throw myself into it! I started taking lessons in the summer! I’ve been training with Ana primarily and she is absolutely amazing! She explains things soooo well, super friendly, and understanding all while pushing you at the same time! I feel more confident in riding and feel that I’ve improved since the summer! While she’s been gone for school 😭 I’ve been training with Angelica and sometimes with Tory, Galina, or Susan and they’re absolutely amazing! And I’ve eventually found that Haleigh, Quinn, and Daybreak are my favorite to ride 🐎🫶🏽 thanks for helping me with my riding journey guys!

The Bergen Equestrian Center is such a welcoming and friendly place, and it’s also so convenient to get to from New York City, which makes a huge difference. From the moment you walk in, you feel comfortable. Jen is an incredible instructor. She’s patient, encouraging, and has a real talent for connecting with both adults and kids. She explains things clearly, keeps classes engaging, and somehow manages to make learning fun while still challenging. You can tell she really cares about each student’s progress. For families, it’s a huge plus that she works equally well with kids and adults, which makes it feel like a place everyone can enjoy. I couldn’t recommend it more highly.

I booked a private lesson expecting personalized guidance, but this was unfortunately the most disappointing riding experience I’ve ever had. The instructor never asked about my riding level, didn’t assess my skills, and spent a significant portion of the lesson chatting with others instead of teaching. Despite being a private session, I was treated like a complete beginner — walking for most of the 30 minutes, and only trotting after I specifically asked to. There was no structure, no training plan, and no progression. As someone who can canter and came to continue improving, I left feeling ignored, disrespected, and that my time and money were wasted. I genuinely love riding, and I’m always respectful of instructors and horses. But a private lesson should come with attention, communication, and a basic level of professionalism. I hope the management takes this seriously, because students deserve better and I truly wouldn’t want other riders to experience what I did.

We love the Bergen equestrian center barn! After riding there for almost 2 years it feels like home away from home. Jennifer my daughters trainer is amazing! Can’t thank her enough for sharing her knowledge with my daughter and turning her into the little equestrian she is today. Everyone works hard and the horses are so loved and well taken care of. Definitely would recommend this barn to everyone.

Bergen Equestrian Center is truly my happy place. The facilities are beautiful and so well maintained, and the staff and grooms are always kind, professional, and incredibly helpful. I have every ounce of confidence that my horse and the other horses on the premise are taken care of. My trainer, Ronni, has been amazing — so supportive and dedicated to helping me grow as a rider. I always look forward to my days there!
