Fantastic Riding Lessons and a Supportive Environment! I started taking lessons at Key Training & Horsemanship a few months ago, and I’m absolutely hooked! Teresa is incredibly patient, knowledgeable, and truly passionate about teaching. Whether you’re a complete beginner or looking to refine your skills, she meet you at your level and help you progress with confidence. The horses are well-trained, gentle, and clearly well cared for. I always feel safe and supported during lessons. The barn is clean, organized, and has a calm, welcoming atmosphere that makes every visit something I look forward to, she give me a safe heaven. I’ve learned so much already — not just about riding, but about horsemanship in general. I can’t recommend Key Training & Horsemanship highly enough for anyone interested in learning to ride or getting back in the saddle!

I can’t recommend Key Training and Horsemanship and Teresa enough! As an adult with no prior riding experience, I always had the desire to learn to ride and to spend time with horses. I was honestly a bit nervous to start, but from the very first lesson, Teresa made me feel welcomed, supported, and capable. She has a straightforward and encouraging teaching style that meets you where you are, while still pushing you to grow with each ride. Her love for the horses and dedication to her students really shines through. I’ve learned so much in a short time and fallen in love with the horses, stable, and community there. I have even started leasing a horse here — something I never imagined I’d be doing! The stable is well cared for, friendly, and has a great community feel. Whether you're a total beginner like me or returning to riding after a break, this is the perfect place to start. So grateful to have found this gem!

LI absolutely love Theresa. She is so patient and kind. She also has a very large equine knowledge base. Theresa has helped myself and my daughter not just with our confidence but with our equine knowledge base as well. She has a stunning facility and host classes that are fun and very educational. I highly recommend her for any and all your horse needs.

After two long years of not getting to ride due to a horseback riding accident at another barn, I finally got back in the saddle. I spent months looking for a new barn to ride at. BIG thanks to Teresa Key for helping me gain my confidence back! I instantly felt welcomed and supported. I am beyond happy I found Key Training & Horsemanship! I have so much fun and learn so much! I cannot wait to learn more from Teresa!

My husband and I purchased a horse from Teresa last summer. I thought buying from a "reputable" trainer would be safe but I was wrong. I’m not going to go through a whole sob story on here as sadly have already wasted too much time because of Teresa’s "don’t ask, don’t tell" mentality. Selling a horse with a history of bucking and not telling the purchaser is dangerous. After my husband broke several ribs and I was bucked off several times I reached out to the previous owner (whom consigned the mare with Teresa). She confirmed that the mare I purchased bucked her off regularly and Teresa had knowledge of this. I have also met several people since the purchase, who know or have known Teresa and I was told that they’ve even seen Teresa get bucked off the mare I purchased. I know I didn’t specifically ask if she bucked but I should have been told. Disappointingly but not surprisingly, I reached out to Teresa about the problem and received no help or feedback. - This post is truly only the tip of the iceberg. Future buyers and clients proceed with caution.
