Grogan Horses LLC

I recently purchased a horse through Sam and Nora Grogan. I’ve been meaning to write a review for a couple of weeks now, but have been so busy enjoying the horse. I initially went out to ride three horses and both Sam and Nora spent a great deal of time with me and all three horses. They were professional, knowledgeable, and most importantly, honest. I was able to purchase an amazing horse after over six months of looking for one. The horse was every thing they said about her! The communication back-and-forth during the purchase, vet check, and Brand inspection was amazing. I really appreciate all of the work they put in to finding my forever horse. I would highly recommend them! I hope to continue working with them doing additional training and lessons with them as well. Thank you, Sam and Nora. I am so happy with Rose!!!

I recently worked with Grogan Horses in Elizabeth, CO. I needed to tune up two horses before rehoming them. Sam and Nora are professional, respectful and very knowledgeable, with great horsemanship skills. They kept me informed throughout the retraining process, answered questions, addressed concerns, and found a buyer for both mares in just a few days. Sam and Nora are a joy to work with because they are genuinely nice people, and their business is grounded in honesty and integrity. They listen to you and deliver what they promise. I highly recommend Grogan Horses!

Sam and Nora were great during the process of my recent purchase of one of their client’s horses. Transparent, patient, and helpful, and I left the experience with a great horse and insight on how to continue a young horse’s training. Very much recommend their services to anyone!

I’ve had the pleasure of working with Sam and Nora Grogan for a few years now. I first got a rescue from Sam three years ago. And since then he has been a constant source of guidance and help with continuing her training. In my experience dealing with horse trainers in the past, Sam has been my absolute favorite trainer to work with. He has such a great way of working with not only the horse, but the rider too. I’ve always really appreciated his approach of teaching me along the way. He doesn’t come at you with arrogance, but instead an informative and encouraging way of showing you how to work with your horse. He was a breath of fresh air when it came to dealing with a professional in the equine business. I can’t say enough good things about him and Nora. When it came time for me to sell my horse I knew I wanted Sam to take the reins. He boarded and tuned her up on her training. Even starting her in a hackamore. Going above and beyond my expectations to get her ready for the best home possible. He found her the perfect family and she made them a wonderful Christmas present. His prices were fair and he made sure to get the best price for my horse. I will always use Sam and Nora for all my equine needs and 1000% will recommend them to anyone with training, boarding, or selling needs as well.

I purchased a horse from Sam and Nora, I not only have a beautiful, well trained horse, but I have 2 new friends! Such a nice couple and a very enjoyable experience! Thank you! Sam and Nora, I am so excited for what lies ahead! Linda Therrien

My wife and I asked Sam to train our granddaughter and he has done an amazing job! Recently I asked him to help me get a horse ready to sell and then help me sell him and Sam did an outstanding job with that as well! Highly recommend Sam!

I started out last year taking riding lessons from Sam. He is an excellent teacher and trainer. Recently I purchased a horse from Sam and Nora. They were both knowledgeable, supportive, and helpful during the process, making my decision to buy an easy one. I highly recommend them both! This is an update to my original post. I purchased a horse from Sam and Nora in May and I cannot say enough wonderful things about the entire experiences I have had these past few months. Barney is staying at their place, and I am pleased with the wonderful care he receives from Sam and Nora. Not only do they take excellent care of the horses in their care, but they are also very willing to help with questions. They also have ties to the horse community so they are a wonderful resource for me. When I am not there, I know Barney is in good hands, and I don't worry about him. Furthermore, Sam and Nora have created an environment that is friendly and welcoming. Finally, their property is in a beautiful place with beautiful views of the mountains. I would not have Barney anywhere else. I started taking lessons from Sam about a year ago and have always thought he is an excellent teacher. He knows horses and the elements of good horsemanship which not only shows in how he treats all the horses he works with but also in his teaching. When working on the needs of the day, he explains how to do something and why it is important. He is patient, encouraging, and always willing to answer questions. As I made the transition from lessons on other horses, to lessons on my horse, Sam has helped me understand how to ride my horse, helped me to communicate with him, in order to make him the best he can be. I've learned so much from him in this process. Grogan Horses is a great place to be!
